Please drink enough fluids (not holy water; not vodka!). I tell Dad the same thing as he plays tennis in the heat. As usual, it is hot here, but not humid. And Jack loves the pool!LOVE THE BLOGS (they are so funny-Jake, you're a great write

I can't imagine how exciting it must be to wake up in Moscow. I find it interesting that they were playing music from the 50's. I wonder why? Also, I was wondering why most everything was closed on a Monday when you arrived. Anyway, loo
k forward to next post. I can't wait to see pictures too.

Gogarty's? Hi there, I don't normally comment so much on people's blogs, but I really enjoyed your recent Ireland one, and then say this one that covered Scotland too :-) That's where I am from, and it's really funny to read an 'outsiders
' view on your home country. The hen parties can be wild alright ha ha! Anyway, I just got to this entry and I think you're talking about my favourite Temple Bar pub, Gogarty's? Here is a link: http://www.gogartys.ie/ It's still around, and my fave for trad music when in the city centre :-)

Map? *shock* Did the car rental place not arm you with a map? That's really bad! I'm also laughing about your mirror comment as I'm reading these backwards, so know what happened next, lol!

Nice entry! Dia dhuit! Sounds like you had a fab time! Did you make it down to Loop Head too? The cliffs are stunning there. I was over that way for the first time this weekend too, but have yet to write about it in my Ireland blog (I'
m the 'local expert for the Republic of Ireland' in case you're wondering!) Ernie sounds like a bit of a character! I'm going to have to track him down when I go to Co. Galway! I loved your comments about the road signs too ha ha! Did you notice on the road too, that they have giant 'Slow' signs, and then 'Very' below? I think the logic is to read it in the order it appears, so 'Very Slow', ha ha! Sl?n!

at the wall I was in Berlin in 1971 when there was guards, dogs and barbwire and check points to go through. My sister was stationed in Berlin when the wall came down. I have pieces of the wall on a plaque she gave me. Lots of memories
just looking at a wall. Glad you have a better view.

amazed at spelling I am amazed at your spelling of German is so good. It also brings back memories of being in Germany and seeing the clocks and the culture. I was in college and singing - we didn't go to any Holocaust sites.that is eye
opening and heart wrenching.
