I miss the shopping in Hong Kong, enjoy it to the fullest for me. I am really sorry to hear that the ferry is making you sick. I hope that despite this issue that you can enjoy you trip. Make sure you do the night markets, they are a lot of fun, and you can get some great deals on stuff.
I also went through the same thing with the Buddha statue LOL! I had seen the Buddha statue when I came from the airport to city center on the train, but when I asked every person on the city about it, nobody knew of its existence. Then a japanese couple with whom I stayed did a search on the internet and found about it. But I had no time to actually visit it. So it was nice to encounter this blog post an learn a bit more about it. Thanks!
Fantastic!! Well I'm a bit tardy in getting to your travel blog, but bravo on the fab trip and your written discriptions are exceptional!!! I am enjoying living vicariously through your exciting travels.
Lots of Love

starbucks dig Hay girls, liking the blog, Sounds like you're having a fabulous time. I was LOL when I read the bit about the random american, loved the comeback Shannon. I particularly would have loved to have gone to the Moet house. It's the type of city that takes many visits to explore as you don't want to rush any of it's intriguing beauty.
Wow! I'm so glad you went into the catacombs, I have seen a documentary on them and found it very interesting. The graveyards are another place I would love to see, I'm morbidly odd that way--would love to see the graveyards in baton rouge also. I'm so glad someone else in this family does creepy stuff, as your loving brother told me I was creepy today--lol, I think you may have beat me out! Yay!! Keep blogging and having fun!
Do it your way! 1) gorgeous pix!! gotta admit I'm a bit green about you talent!
2) this is your trip, do it how u want, dont apologize for anything! (unless its illegal--then it may be a good idea) If u want chai tea from starbucks--have it, and enjoy it!!!
Have a fabulous time while u r there, but do let us know that u have your luggage! ;)
So, did you get your luggage back yet, or did you go on a shopping spree? Hopefully BOTH. And no, smuggling operations are not a good practice. You may look good in orange, but I'm sure that your not into wearing jumpsuits.
Hi Shannon,
I have very much enjoyed reading your articulate writings in your articles. Keep travelling and enjoying your life so we can all live vicariously through you!!
Lot of love always,

Why travel I'm fascinated by US travellers who complain and compare to their experiences at home. Why travel if you will never be satisfied! Paris has an ancient history and its customs have evolved and developed throughout that time. The French have done their best to resist the push from the multi-nationals like McDonalds and Starbucks but unfortunately, their insidious presence is appearing. Lets hope that further downward spiral into 'Americanism' is stopped.
