A thoughtful and open hearted person but quite restless when it comes to traveling.. It's in there just naturally! I like to plan it at the very best but expect (& try to make) it to turn out really adventurous and exciting.. Weird? Let's get along sometime and you'll see why and how!

Regular blogging is not my cuppa but let's see what all I get to write here - well at least I can keep track of my travels (so ingenious.. ;-) )!!

well day started late, over slept basically, and had to rush for work apointments. however, it's been a good day over all. whole day with fellow travellers and other people around, then late lunch/early dinner at a local Indian restaurant with good quality food - overall 8 on 10. thereafter again on Nanjing Loo (road, dont get ideas).. with pimps and fake brand products sellers around.. but visited good shopping arcades and other showrooms.. a Mandarin Iced Green Tea late in the evening at Costa @ The Bund was relaxing.. then back to hotel and relaxed in the room.. overall, a tiring but satisfactory day.. wanted to try Shanghai subway today but fellows suggested not to as we're new to the place.. I'm not going to listen to others tomorrow definitely.. ..more to come... keep ... read more

I arrived in Shanghai this morning for work purpose, and was supposed to go to a hotel my old friend had suggested. However, as I arrived here people at the airport's travel desk (as I understood it to be) suggested the hotel I had booking with was not so good. I tried for another place at the airport itself but difference in prices at different counters was a little too much (around 100 RMB).. so it was me and my brother, he also discussed with someone and in the end we just picked our bags, hired a cab and started to hit the downtown.. 'All this at around 12 noon, when we had an exhibition to attend that would shut by 1700 hours'.. Anyhow, we reached "somewhere" in the downtown of Shanghai - the taxi driver ... read more

Good Morning! It's like 06:29 AM here, I'm pretty sure most of you (including my mom dad) are wondering how I can be awake before dusk (or may be in the middle of night per my own biological day cycle ). If I were a poet, I would have made most of this opportunity to express my thoughts.. under such a beautiful starry night, perfect for Star Gazers (may be from TAS or may be astronomers like Galielo Galilei et al. Anyhow, only words I have to describe this spectacular view from the window of my so-called bedroom in Caravan are from an excerpt of the poem by Dennis Pelliccia composed with inspiration from Van Gogh's painting - Starry Night! Starry, starry, starry night, I lie beneath the glimmering sky A cloud above; an angel's stare, ... read more

...and we were off for another browse, this time to Wales - North Wales, UK! For some reason, we all have always been a fan of Last Minute adventures and planning for this trip was no different any of the previous ones. Alike, previous trips I was struggling to get good deals for accomodation and transportation.. Without going off the tangent, we decided to explore North Wales during Christmas vacation this year (2008), 'Decision was made 5 days prior to travel' without realizing this year's Christmas break is of 4 days at a stretch and it could be difficult to make arrangements (as, obviously, it was). However, as some wise person has said "Where there's a Will, there's a Way" and we found our way out. My previous experience with travelling and bookings lit a spark ... read more
