Hello from New Zealand! Just a quick blog to update you all! We had a lovely 2 days in Christchurch sightseeing, in the cold!! It felt like we were in the UK!! Luckily though it's warmed up since and we're back to shorts weather! On tuesday we picked up our sleepervan, which is amazing!! It's very cosy but has enough room for everything we need! We've started travelling south and yesterday saw Lake Tekapo, a massive bright blue lake surrounded by snowy mountains. Before heading on to Oamaru where we saw penguins coming up onto the beach! The scenary here is spectacular and we're really enjoying it here, plus we can camp for free in some beautiful places. Sorry for a short blog! Lots of Love, Hope everyone is well Abi and Simon x x x ... read more

Kia Orana everybody, This week the weather has not really lived up to the paradise setting and has been overcast a lot! It has been a relaxing break though and when the weather is nice it is really beautiful here. We went snorkelling the other day and saw an amazing amount of brightly coloured tropical fish swimming right up to us. It was like swimming in an aquarium! We were both a bit nervious at first as there were so many fish and some were prety big, but we soon relaxed and really enjoyed it. We have also walked to the waterfall on the island which took us two hours to get to, but was worth it! It was surrounded by jungle and looked really inviting for a swim in the clear pool beneath it. Hi everyone, After a long boring time in Los Angeles Airport, where are highlight came from Martin Kemp coming to sit next to us in Starbucks!! Just when we thought we were leaving LA without seeing anyone famous! We arrived safely in Rarotonga after another 9 hour flight! When we first arrived it definitely was not similar to the pictures we had seen as it was pouring with rain! But fingers crossed that has stopped and we have had 2 days in the gorgeous sunshine since. Our hostel is right on the beach, which has white sands, palm trees and crystal clear waters. It is just like a screen saver picture! There are little Islets just off the beach which we have walked out to through the shallow waters, which don't get deeper than waist height! ... read more

Hello everyone... We've had a busy but very enjoyable time in California!! Sorry we havn't been in touch recently, lack of free internet access and poor phone reception!! Whilst in San Francisco we stayed at the International Hostel, the first room they gave us though stank of urine but Simon (the hero) managed to get our rooms changed and the one we ended up in was much better although we both would not stay in that hostel again!! It was in a great location though to rest our heads after a couple of busy sightseeing days! We went to Fisherman's Wharf and saw the famous sea lions on pier 39, took a visit to Alcatraz which was kind of creepy but really interesting, saw Lombard street the most crooked street in the world! Went up Coit ... read more

Hi everyone, After driving for a couple of days through death valley stopping for a night in a motel in a town called Bishop we arrived in Yosemite National Park. Driving through death valley was staggeringly hot, they tell you to turn your air con off so the car doesn't overheat!! We probably only passed a couple of cars the whole way, on the really straight roads which looked like they went on forever!! Arriving in Yosemite was a complete contrast to death valley, there are so many trees and even snow on the mountains. We got to our hostel which is located on the side of a mountain surrounded by pine trees. We were pleasantly surprised that we were in a 4 bed dorm rather than the 12 bed that we booked, plus we only ... read more

Greetings from las Vegas! Hi everyone, we arrived safely in Vegas yesterday, after a very long flight but somehow because we were not sat together we managed to wangle our way into first class for a couple hours sat at the bar! Vegas is just as we imagined, very hot, crazy and cheesy! But a fun place to see! You will be glad to know we have not lost all our money! But Jake the tip you gave us for placing a bet on red 7 has not helped and we lost a whole dollar!! We have booked a trip to see the grand canyon and Hoover dam tomorrow! We are currently in Caesars palace, (but apparently Caesar doesn't live here anymore!! Haha!!) using a demo iPad in the apple shop at the moment so thought ... read more
