Storms tomorrow
The next few days the poncho will get a run, I think. If it rains, I walk. It’s not an option. Glad you like it

Hi from Melton
Hi Steve, Good to read that you are starting to embrace the walk, safe travels, am enjoying your commentary and photos. Take care. Marcelle
6th October 2018

Thanks Marcelle
It’s 6am, I’m eating breakfast, a peach, and shortly will start 17kms before anywhere to stop. Feet are taped and vasolined; I’m ready. It must be special to put yourself through it. A friend has shin splints, and he walks on. Quitting isn’t an option unless it’s forced on people.

Car Rental
Wow! What's a great review! I wish I could get Santiago using a car rental service. That would be amazing experience.

Walking is the Way
There are many ways but walking , for me, leaves no regrets or doubts. Of course, not everyone can walk, or has the time. Each to their own.

No poles??
Hey, How serious can it get, wild swinging arms extended gait, something missing, the poles!! I think the early starts are messing with your mind. The image is certainly messing with mine. Love the blog. Travel safe, blister healing and free Cheers John PS Probably safest to sleep in your clothes, you know early start and all

Everything is messing with my mind...
There are mixed opinions on poles. I met 2 earlier, on their honeymoon. My ears pricked up at the sound of ‘Dobre’. Lovely couple. Walking with poles is a must for me; they take the load off sore feet and steep hills. I also set my pace with them, often forcing myself to slow down. Too fast hammers your feet. Stay well and we’ll catch up soon

Buen camino Steve
That river walk looks the go. Did you go into the Gaudi cathedral? Are you sure the blisters are worth it?
1st October 2018

Anything is tolerable
There can be days when it’s painful but it makes the arrival even better. Most people have blisters, or worse. It’s all part of the Camino. Cathedral today after a sleep in and late breakfast.

Bags
I am a big fan of someone else moving your bags to the next destination. Please let us know how that works out.

Change of plans
I’m carrying my backpack and slowing my Camino down. As per my original plan
