My husband, Bob, and I, Sandy, are taking our 2 sons, Justin, 20 and Jared, 18 and their friends Henry, 17 and Patrick, 19 on a trip. Yes, that's a lot of testosterone. We'll fly into Seattle, rent an enormous van, and sight see our way to San Francisco in 10 days.
Right now, we're just killing time until our plane leaves at 10:30 p.m. tonight. We're meeting a friend of Bob's and Burlingame for lunch. Burlingame is a cute, small town near San Fran airport. It has the feel of an upscale mall with the outside feeling of Delray Beach. The drunk that approaches us, reminds us that we could be anywhere. Justin starts speaking in a made up Russian language. We are leaving Hood River and on our way to Mount Hood. Mount Hood is over 11,000 feet and still some has some snow on top. This will be the first time Henry and Patrick see snow.... read more
