Hi Everyone I am going to talk about my visit to the Caves in France. First I am going to tell you about what it said about the caves in a book I have read and then I will tell you about my personal experience. The caves are a special place to take the time... to forget about time! In the depths of the Caves of Sare, visitors will listen to the echo of an adventure that has been going on for thousands of years. the tour is neither a geology or history lecture, nor a basic sound and light show. it's main aim to make visitors understand the permanent link between Nature and Culture, between the individual and Society. The new guided tour is a unique bonding moment full of emotion after which children and ... read more

Hi Everyone I have been so busy with traveling and seeing all of Spain and France it has been awhile since I blogged My trip to San-Jean-de-Luz was amazing and I loved it. We visited the church in town which is hundreds of years old. It is a church dedicated to the Fishermen of San-Jean-de-Luz. We ate a typical French restaurant and they had very good food. We ate french waffles on the street (to go) and ice cream on the street too. We sat around in the sunshine and talked as many of the French do the same. The language is beautiful and I loved to listen talk, even though I couldn't understand anything. All of the French people we met were very nice to us and ALL of the food was yummy. The beach ... read more

I went to an centuries old Catholic Church for my friend's first Communion. There was about 20 boys and girls receiving first communion. After the communion we all walked over to the restaurant for a big party. We ate gigantic lunch , included shrimp, filet mignon, wine, sidra, deserts, other kinds of fish, lots and lots of food. We all played together The party lasted from 2:30 until 10:30, then Grandma and I came home we were exhausted. The place that we went for lunch was a very fancy restaurant. First Communion is a major event here and you receive lots of presents. Where we went was up some outside escalators which we rode and then walked a couple of blocks to the restaurant. I had a lot of fun and the first communion was interesting. ... read more

Yesterday afternoon I had a play time with my friend, Eneritz. WE went to her Grandma's house in Irun. She is teaching me Spanish and I am teaching her English. She takes English in school. All school children now take English in this area. I am going to be attending her First Communion tomorrow in a church that is hundreds of years old. After her First communion we are all going to a fancy restaurant to celebrate her First Communion and to eat. Earlier in the day we had a big fish dinner cooked by Papa's friend who has is own fishing boat for commercial fishing. It is Basque fishing boat. Papa has a friend who owns a restaurant and Papa ordered a certain kind of fish And he told me he would go looking for this fish for us to eat and he told us that he would look at the fish's eyes and if the eyes were clear it was a really good fish and if the eyes were clouded it was a okay fish. He found us a really good fish and we ate it. I am a member of the Athletic Bilbao club. I really like the members of this club they are very nice to me. There is an old fort and the streets and sidewalks are made of stone. Most of the buildings are made of stone and they are hundreds of years old. I walked all over the fort and saw a big church and a big building with canon and bullet holes in it from a past war. The building is being used as a hotel now, a very fancy hotel. Today I walked to the coffee shop by myself and got my Grandma and Uncle Victor coffee to go and ordered myself churros. They were able to understand my Spanish and I got just what I ordered. Here it is safe for children to run around by themselves, everybody works together to take care of the children. The grown ups here put their hands on your face and ... read more

Today I went to San Sebastian and walked around the historic old section. I saw a Cathedral that is hundreds of years old, the beach at San Sebastian is big and beautiful with cool little patterns on the sand. There is an antique merry go round which I went on. Hondarribia is where I am staying and there is an old fort here a couple of blocks away. The fort is now housing people , restaurants, shops. The road is made of stones. We saw a big building with canon and bullet holes in it from a past war. "the Basque won" Everyone here is wonderful and nice to me. This town has a social hour in the evenings before dinner and entire families come out to the plaza (this is where our flat is located) ... read more
