Vietnam Great stuff Robin.
I was in Vietnam in 2008-2009 myself. Mostly around Hanoi, but I did make it out to Halong Bay. Fantastic.
I hope you enjoyed Vietnam as much as I did. Just crossing the street in Hanoi was an adventure. :)

NO SMOKING! Hey Dad, I am so happy that you have quit smoking (again, hehehe) and that you seem to succeed this time with the aid of the Champix pills! Now keep up the good work and remember that even a single cigarette is one too many and may trigger smoking again!! So avoid it ;)

whooa Oh you guys seem to have such a wonderful trip! So much you get to see. It's a bit weird to see you with llamas and swollen Oreo packages (that was cool!), hats and inca ruins. I am used to seeing you in Coogee! Life back home is slowly coming back to me, whether I like it or not. Next weekend I am going to Paris, that's should be fun, another trip abroad!

Flowers on grave Hi, my name is Frank Oulie Jensen and I am late Cptn Oulie's (yes, the right spelling is Oulie)son-in-law. My wife said she once was told that someone in Marcona (the church??) was asked to provide the grave regulary with flowers. Probably it was the owner of the ship Templar - or - it could also have been my late mother-in-law. This will probably always become a secret. One of the crew is living in Oslo and my wife and daughter have visited him. He is the one who has written my father-in-law's name on the grave. Finally - we do hope to bring the opportunity to visit the grave ourselves.
The granddaughter Hi guys! Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my grandfather's grave... We really do appreciate it, and can not say how much this means to us!!! Looking forward to see you again, Aashild- and to see all of your fotos and video:-) All the best! Lots of hugs:-)

Flowers on grave Thanks to Daddy alias Tore Strømøy for pointing out the flowers on the grave! This was something we marveled about ourselves when we were there. Could there really be someone visiting the grave - 40 years after? The answer is probably simply that the Catholics look after their cemetaries in a very careful manner.
Welcome to my travel blog!
Recently, I travelled through Southeast Asia with my brother Remi (for his Norwegian MSN Space, click here). Starting in Singapore on 5 February 2007, we made our way through Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam, before returning from Hong Kong on 13 March 2007.
Previously, my girlfriend, Helene, and I kept this blog for our travels to Africa and South America. From November 2005 to February 2006, we visited Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, sweet home Norway, Peru, and Ecuador, before returning to our place of... full info
