hi!! We have always wanted to visit NY at xmastime and finally this year, we made it! We love visiting European cities and towns during this time of the year because Europe is so beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is more than excellent.
We have been 12 days in NY, the weather was fantastic the first week then we went through the winter storm Hercules and spent such a great time taking pics with the whole city covered in snow. In spite of the bone chilling cold, we wont forget the experience! We have to say that visiting touristic places cant be a real nightmare...so be patient if you want to see the famous Rockefeller xmas tree for instance. We have been to a lot of restaurants during all our trips and we can definitely say NY is very pricey for the meal you get. We are Spanish, we have a wonderful gastronomy in our country and very affordable.
We didnt dare to see the ball drop in New Years Eve at Times Square. If you want to see it, you must be right there at 2 or 3pm and wait until midnight. Bear in mind that it's not allowed to return to your spot if you leave it in order to get some food or go to the toilet. Be dressed for the weather with extra layers, you wont be able to wear a bag or bagpack.
We wanted to avoid the crowds so we spent the end of the year staring at the beautifu skyline on Manhattan in Brooklyn.
We send you a huge hug from Spain!!! Have a wonderful day!!
Burano Murano We;ve traveled to Italy but not the Venice area. It is on our list. You've captured some lovely photos and makes us want to go sooner than later.
Thank you! We have visited Venice so many times, we adore this city but I recommend you not to come in summertime, it´s crowded. You can see our previous blog of Venice to see the more characteristic pictures of Venice. Many kisses and hugs!

Oh I love Santa Barbara and it looks like you do too! Great photos from your vacation and you visited all of my favorite spots too! Though I've never had the chance to go to Neverland Ranch, I will one day. I bet that was an awesome experience. Faria Beach is a hidden treasure that should be visited for often, though it is a bit far from the norm. The last time I was in town I went there and spent a great day with the family having a picnic on the beach. We all ended up staying pretty close by at the South Coast Inn (www.goleta-hotel.com). Calm and elegant, it caters to everyone!
Hi Lili! Thanks for your comment. I´m glad that you liked the blog. It was a dream for to go to the west coast and see amazing places like Santa Barbara. We went to Neverland just the summer MJ died so it was really moving. Thanks for sharing the info related to the South Coast Inn, next time we´ll go there for sure!
Many kisses from Spain!!

making me want to visit Moscow Amazing pictures, really looks beautiful want to make that somewhere I visit, when's the best month to go in your opinion? X
Hi James! Well, it depends on you. We wanted to go at Christmas in order to see and experience the "real" Moscow. It was great to visit the main touristic attractions without having to queue for hours. Our family and friends said that we were crazy, but going to Russia in winter has been amazing! Summer is cool aswell but the city will be CROWDED with tourists everywhere, in order to see the Lenin´s mausoleum for instance you´ll need plenty of time (we had to wait for an hour and a half just to see Lenin for just 5 sec!!). The same happens with the palaces, the Kremlin and so on.
Hugs from Spain!!

Secretary Information I'm not sure what year it was, I know it was when Elvis was just getting started w/Sun Studios, but my Aunt Dot as we called her (aka Dorothy King), was the secretary for Sun Studios at the time. She would tell us her favorite story of all...it was about this very handsome young man who was going to come in and record some songs. When they told him to take a break and have lunch, he realized he didn't have any money on him. It just so happened, that Aunt Dot was sitting at her desk when she heard this polite gentleman ask her if he could borrow $0.10 for a hamburger. Aunt Dot was the sweetest person ever, and of course gave Elvis a dime for his lunch...Elvis then replied, "Thank you, Ma'am, I promise to pay you back one day when I make it big" with his beautiful smile and Elvis nod. I just remember my Aunt being so expressive when she told us her memories of working at Sun Studios...she took pride in her work and the people she met along the way. This has been passed down to our family for years, and although Aunt Dot has been gone for many years now, I often remember her telling me stories of Elvis and so many other singers that passed by her desk. Now that I'm older, I wonder if this was the desk she sat at? I guess that we will never know. I hope you enjoy a little trip down memory lane...I just wish Aunt Dot was here to tell us more!
