the road to the border.. Hi Paul,
yeah i remember the road to the cambodian border from Siem Reap as well.. It is really dodgy!
On that journey i was speaking to a swiss bloke who'd been living in Cambodia for the last 5 or so years. He told me that the owner of Bangkok Airlines actually paid the cambodian government $10 million in return for a promise that they would not repair that road for the next 6 years or something like that...
So, maybe in a few years the road will be ok!

Here the life is quite, i spent my tropical medecine examen and i wait for the resuluts, i work and when i have free time i try to walk on mountains but i feel pain in my knee;;; here the weather is not so good, it s raining everyday on the night.;;

Oh wow... those pictures are amazing! I'm so jealous, but it's great that you are seeing all of these beautiful places. Keep me posted--I look forward to updates! Peace.
I want to be in Thailand! Dude, reading that while sitting in a sweaty office in london has given me really itchy feet! I loved it when i was in thailand and can't wait to get back there.... Railay beach is definitely a wicked place. Did you get any rock climbing done there??
Take it easy geezer, and keep up your blog..
(PS - i guess you must have been having a good time recently, as this is your first post in a loooong time! )
Good news Hi Paul, Sarah and I have really enjoyed reading your blogs, and we now have something to say that is as interesting (certainly to us) as the things you've been up to...Sarah gave birth to our baby daughter Ruby last week. It has been an amazing week and after a slightly rocky start we are lovin it now. Ruby is the cutest thing I've ever seen (slightly biased).
Well done on getting to ABC Base Camp, Paul and I both agree that doing the ABC treck was the best thing we did on our jaunt - but fear not, there will be plenty more highlights ahead. I was well chuffed to see that you made it to Hampi and it was just as I remembered. Nice one.
Keep up the good work mate, you certainly seem to be taking every oportunity to make the most of your trinp. I particularly liked the Ashram Blog.
Take care,
H
i nearly forgot! what a coincidence -- on sunday, may 20th, serbian team reached the top of mont everest.
they've been blogging all the way, so i kept track of their adventure.
well, good job, all of you mountain climbers!
zorionak! well done, mr. asten!
next time warm up well before the climb, as you may seriously injure your knees otherwise. and warm up even better on the way down, because that is when most accidents happen.
i am glad you are enjoying yourself. and i am thrilled you discovered mountains and like them.
good luck with the rest of the voyage!
agur!
I know how you feel! You've got it spot on Paul. The Taj is amazing and Delhi is a nightmare. India can get on top of you after a while but the highlights are worth it. Really enjoying your story as it reminds me of the highs and the occasional but humorous lows of our india holidays. Have you had the sh*ts yet?
Hi Paul, sorry for posting so late:-( It's nice to follow your travels and some people from the office would join you in a blink of an eye... So NEVER post your plans for next destination or Lukas will rush to Ruzyne to be a stand-by for next plane to India:-D Keep the posts and photos coming and enjoy yourself!
