Here's an edited version of an email I sent my family from a few days ago when I arrived: Hi, I just arrived safe and sound (and verrrrry tired) to my apartment. All of my roommates are here, and the only bad thing I can foresee is that there is only one bathroom for five girls - short showers here I come. My flights went incredibly smoothly, and the hardest part about it was having to sit still in a seat for 10 hours straight. Once I got to Rome, things were a little more confusing, because the girl I was going to meet up with ended up in a different terminal, so I had to go to Plan B for getting to the study center.
