September 17 - Day 4 We were off reasonably early - we are getting better at striking camp! - and set off for Budapest. Another cloudless blue sky underwhich we drove eastward, eating up the miles on this excellent highway. Hungary was very dull scenically, long periods of flat open land with little to punctuate the view at all. But when we approached Budapest it became more hilly and the excellent map took us off the main road, winding through the suburbs to the one, highly-recommended campsite. A strange place, tucked into a narrow, steep sided little valley where there were about a dozen slots for motor caravans and then a winding path up a slope, with some leveled spaces where tents could be pitched.
