hey im nat and im currently on a gap year after completing my studies in 3d design at college. so have taken this break from studying as a oppertunity to travel around the world, before returning to further my education at university.
my journey starts in january and the first out of nine countries on my list is India. So this is what i have planned...
My first destination is the capital of Delhi, where i will be joining a tour for the duration of 14 day. It starts in the nations capital city and heads south to the rural town of Orchha, before heading east to Khajuraho and he on to Panna National Park. From there i will head south east to Bandhavgarh National Park before travelling South-West to Kanha National Park. From Kanha National Park i will be travelling North-West up to Agra, then East to Bharatpur and Jaipur before returning to Delhi for my final 5 nights in India.
My second destination is Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. I will spend my first night in a hotel before heading North to the region of SingBuri where i will be staying for the majority of the next 4 weeks, taking part in the 'Rea Gap Thailand Experience'.
For the first week of the programme i will be learning about Thailand, its people, culture, attitudes and customs. Week 2 i will get the oppertunity to visit Monks of Karma where i will be taught about the religion of buddism, given an enlightment to their different ways of life, as well as have a over-night stay with them in their temple.
Duringthe third week i will be trekking through the jungles and rain forests of Phutoei National Park, sleeping in the jungles and experiencing the nature of Thailand.
My fourth and final week on the 'Thai Experience' involves travelling to the island of Ko Samet for time on the beach and relaxation.
After my four week 'Thai experience' i will return to Bangkok for 2 nights stay in the city, before joining a 13-day tour which will take me across the East boarder of Thailand, through Cambodia to the captial of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh city.
After Departing the Bangkok i will proceed East to cross the Thai-Cambodian boarder at Poipet, before arriving at Seam Reap and Angkor Wat. For 2 days i will get to explore the Cambodian town before adventuring South-East to the riverside town of Kompong Cham, where i will have to chance to experience life in a small Cambodian town. Day six of the tour endures heading South-West for a homestay with a rural Cambodian family in Takeo for one night. After experiencing what it is like to live in rural Cambodia i will be travelling West to Sihanoukville to enjoy the tropical beaches and relaxed environment. After departing from Sihanoukville i will be moving North-East to the Cambodia capital, Phnom Penh, for a graphic reminder of this country's tragic history. The final Stop of my tour will be the capital of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City.
From Ho Chi Minh City i will fly to Taipei, Taiwan, where i will be staying with a family friend for two weeks whislt exploring the island.
