Glad they let you out. I'm glad they let you out of the monkey cage and didn't make you stay there. Could you bring one of those trees for our front yard, please? It will certainly mean more to you planting trees than it would have before the Oct surprise storm last year.
We're so happy you and Sandra have found your nich. We are very proud of both of you. Keep those blogs coming.
Love and prayers, Your second Mom
Pancake,
All I could think about with your zoo story was you in South Africa and me trying to protect you from the chickens in that township! I'm sorry you had a traumatic day. Call me if you would like some therapy, since that is what I'm doing now for school. I'm glad to hear that things are going well and that you got to see Hanson! I'm sure you and Sandra were like 13 year old girls :-) Miss you. I'll send mail soon... I promise!

It sounds like fun! Hi Nicki, I am so excited for you! I'm guessing you are having alot more fun there then at CPLC. We miss you and I just wrote another letter. Hope you get it. I have to use up your old address labels. Hee Hee!
Love ya, Sandi
Love the Pictures The pictures are great. I am so excited for you. It is awesome how God has been preparing you all your life for such a time as this! Continue in HIS steps and enjoy the blessings.
Love from Florida Hooray Nicki, We are wanting to get over to see what is up with Boloxi, Mississippi and figure when you get settled to plan a long weekend to do the drive. It is exciting to know that you'll be in the south for the winter and can do so much good there. I know our church has made several mission trips to help repair (still) after the Katrina devastation. So, you will be busy and blessed. All the best to your team, Uncle Bob and Aunt Becky
Palm Springs I'll be in a place called Coachella, right by Palm Springs. We'll be helping build homes for migrant farm workers, and tutoring kids at a local school in the afternoons. Our hours will be 7am-11am, siesta from 11am-3pm, and back to work from 3pm til probably 7pm. We can't work more than 8 hours a day. Although I'm nervous about the construction, I will take it one task at a time and hopefully learn some great things! I'm SO excited about tutoring!! Oh, and there will be a language barrier considering I don't speak spanish, and the migrant farm workers do...but my team leader speaks Spanish, and they might have translators on site when needed. Our 13 person team will be living in a 3 bedroom apartment suite (i'm sure it's not as fancy as it sounds, but I think that will be really cool). We'll have a kitchen, which is great. I don't know what the bathroom situation is though? I'll have to ask. I'm SOOOOOO excited!!! My team leader grew up a couple hours away from this area and is familiar with it, so that is comforting. I'm SO glad I'm staying in California, but that we're not staying in Sacramento! The weather will be warm and...ahhh I'm so excited!
It was great to find out about Nicole's project!!! We are both so happy about finally knowing! Everyone on campus was glowing last night! good times.
Biloxi Babe Wow, what fun. I am sure you are excited to be taking a road trip and being on Church Staff.... funny how God works seeing you were raised Lutheran. Sounds awesome and I am sure you will be telling us all about Lance's home etc. Drive safely and work hard. We are praying for you always. Love, Mom
Sounds great Hi Nicki:
I'm very excited for you and your assignment to Missippi. You will become a carpenter soon. What a wonderful thing that you are doing, very proud of you.
Love Mr B
The wait is over Hi Nicki,
This is very exciting and I'm sure you're glad the wait is over. You'll get to experience another part of the country that you haven't seen before. This is so cool, that you'll be able to do all those construction things when you come home, that Mom is always wanting me to do. Study hard. We miss you and continue to pray for your (and Gold 4) well being. Love ya, Pops
Thats great. Would this qualify you for a job as a bus driver 0(only kidding). While you were learning to drive a 15 passenger van heather took her dirvers test and passed. Away she goes.
Happy Halloween and dont let the goblins get you. LOL gram
Yo Nicki! So glad your Mom got me connected to your blog this time. I just caught up with all your previous posts from your last trip, too! What a vibrant life and an extraordinary soul you have. Your philosophies on life are exquisite! I wish you well and please know that you and Sandra are in my prayers. Keep those pictures coming!!!! We old folks are living vicariously through you, you know? With love and hugs, GB
Go Team I like your team name, it fits you...precious commodity. I hope you get along well with your team and make lifetime friendships. I know they'll be able to count on you in all things. I wish I could've helped you in your Baseline testing, but I guess you get your athletic ability from your Mother. Keep working hard. How did Power Tools go? Send more pictures. Love ya dearly.
Pops
Hi It was great hearing from you. Happy to hear you are doing well. Will try to get a letter or at least a card out to you shortly. What does the pack tean do? Say hi to Sandra for me. Keep in touch. LOL Gram.
We had more fun Nicki, your pictures are great, but like your dad, I'm anxious to see what 'do' you'll be wearing after this adventure. Our weekend in Florida was lots of fun, but I know you'll soon be making memories to last a lifetime! God bless you and keep you safe. Love to you and Sandra too.
Down Time Don't they have a gym, activity center, swimming pool or ibrary for your down time? This is so exciting, I can live the whole experience and still remain a couch potato! Ok, fire eater would have been my last choice, and weilding a chainsaw it's not the most attractive stance.................
Like the Pictures Thanks for the pictures. Your dorm room looks big. Enjoy the free time you won't be bored for long I am sure once things start up you will be wishing for some down time. Life without a computer what an adjustment for a person use to having one all to herself.
Love you and keep the blog and pictures coming.. Mom
Chainsaw girl If I see s forest fire on TV at least I'll know where to look for you. Great Pics! Be patient, training will be your friend in the field. Be Well.Love, Aunt Nettie
You're In The Army Now At least that's how it sounds. Pretty exciting and like you said, enjoy the downtime now, cause it's sure to get hectic. I really like the pictures, but I'm just a little disappointed you don't have one of you in your uniform. Maybe next time. At least you didn't have to get your head shaved. But then again you probably wouldn't have cared. Take care sweetie. Run good tomorrow. Love ya much, Pops
Those West Coast Girls Are Hip... In case you youngins don't recognize that lyric, it's from an old Beach Boys song. Seems like you're acclimating to the "left" coast pretty well. Good luck tomorrow, you'll do just fine and I'm lifting you both in prayer. Hope you do good on your PT testing. I know all your hard work over the past months will pay off. Miss ya and love ya. Sacramento makes Buffalo sound pretty nice.
Pops
Proud of you ! I am so very proud of you. As much as I miss you I am excited for you to have the opportunity to live out what you learned from your SAS experience. God IS with you and will supply you with everything you need, that's a promise!
" God can bless you with everything you need, and you will always have more than enough to do all kinds of good things for others. " 2 Corinthians 9:8
I am very proud of you Nicki and the service that you are about to enter. Your Aunt Becky and I wish you the best during your tour of duty. You have a great future in front of you and we know you will make the best of it. You have our support and prayers. We love you very much. Good luck.
I'm gonna miss ya! The world (America) is there for you to explore and I am so excited for you. The people you meet and get to know are so fortunate and they don't even know yet what a blessing is coming there way. You are special and America is about to find that out. I love you and will pray for you everyday.
