A good brisk walk for us and google maps was not much help.Picked up with a family from Caulfield, Michelle, Mark and son Max, driven to the Station where our guide Elton met us and we connected with two from India. First class train trip to Tuen Men, very comfortable, elited and walked to customs which when we passed through we were in Shenzhen, China. Geo: 22.3214, 114.1738th April, 2017We slept in, had a coffee at McDonalds, went to the street bakery which there is plenty off and bought a pork roll and cakes, very nice. Caught a taxi to the Flower Market, just wish I could have bought some of the plants home, incredible really worth having a look at and today being Saturday it was packed, we have been warned not to do much on Saturday and Sundays. Walked to the Gold Fish market, heaps of bags of fish, tanks with turtles in them a whole street with fish hanging in bags for people to buy then next door a shop that sold the tanks, food and anything else you needed. Getting to the Market we walked through the Electronic market, huge with a lot of clothes as well ... read more

Geo: 22.3214, 114.1735th April, 2017We went for coffee to McDonalds across the street and Mick recognised the Head teacher from the Yarram High School, Lyn and Lynette arrived in Hong Kong on Saturday, small world. We run into the four from Pakenham quite often, twin sisters who married brothers, usually meet them all in the lounge at 4pm free wine and snacks, no beer so we bring our own. They leave tomorrow for Bali their brothers 50th birthday.Mick booked us on the Victoria Harbour Dinner cruise for tonight, picked up at the Hotel and dropped back, cannot wait to see the Symphony of Lights on the Harbour while cruising, hard life!Great buffet and the cruise on the Harbour was nice, the lights did not come up to expectation but wonder if it was because of the ... read more

Geo: 1.28941, 103.856th October, 2016Luckily we have had a free mobile phone to use while we are here, I locked myself out of the Salary Sacrifice last night, but this morning rang ANZ and all fixed with a new password. Wanted to take it easy today knowing we fly tomorrow at 10.45am so we did not leave the Hotel until 11am, catching a taxi to the Gardens by the Bay to see the Flower Dome. As we approached the ticket counter a teacher approached us with a heap of tickets she bought for her students that did not work out, so was selling as many as she could. We picked up a ticket each for $10 and saved $20 between us. The Flower Dome was beautiful but not as good as the Forest Dome and we ... read more

Geo: 1.28941, 103.85Caught the Bus to the Zoo at 9.30am from Suntec and we have finally managed to navigate, the underground tunnels which are incredible and more going on underground than above. Our bus ticket ran out today at 2.30pm, so we figured we would be ready to come back by then anyway. The ticket inspector talked us into seeing the Gardens by the Bay Lights display at 7.45pm and second stop by train from Suntec, the bus run stops at 6.30pm, sounded good. The Zoo was incredible, saying it again about the Singapore experience and it took the bus 30 minutes to get there. Took the Tram from one point to another and saw everything we wanted to see, I just love the animals in this place and the room they have to move, rather then ... read more

Geo: 1.28941, 103.854th October, 2016Up at 7.30am for a swim this morning and off to Suntek Station to catch a bus and have a look at the Observation Deck of Skypark, we were hoping to go to the Zoo but that bus was not leaving for another half hour. This place was truly amazing, we stepped off the Red Bus at the Marina Bay Sands and could not walk to the area to get to the Observation Deck of Skypark because the cleaners where cleaning the footpath. Instead we took a lift up and a security guard advised us to walk around the Gardens by the Bay and when we return the cleaners would be finished. We took a walk into a place that was so different and incredible, found a cart to take us to where we ... read more
