hola Thanx for replying Mario. I will be in Colombia for a bit more then a month, leaving winter Belgium behind. Actually Im visiting a Colombian I met travelling last year in Laos. He s living in Medellin, I will definately be visiting Blue. I love to party but not really a connaisseur of salsa. I guess it doesnt matter that much when you r having fun. It would be great to get some insight info from you about places outside Medellin ( my friend hasnt travelled much himself in his own country). Any place where I can contact you?

PS. be sure to be in Medellin from thurs-sat. go to club called BLUE! i loved it! and La puerta in Taganga is great! In Bogota, find a local to take you out..they always know the best places. there is one place i just couldnt remember its name, but near zona rosa...absolutely wicked.
great blog flying into Bogota myself in November I find this blog to be very informative. Seems like we have a similar style of travelling. Definately gonna check out La Puerta. Stay lucky !
Bummer Wow, bummer about the camera... picking up a replacement?
My dad once said my camera and my passport were the two most important things in my pack.
Hey! I'm glad to see you're enjoying Colombia and especially Medellin.... I'm from there so I know what an AWESOME and beautiful city it is ;)
It's good to see how more people from outside are visiting Medellin. I hope it was worth it and you leave with tons of good memories and wanting to come back
origin of the word Copacabana The Copacabana Barry Manilows sings about is Rio's beach, but the origin of the name of the brazilian beach is there, in Bolivia´s Copacabana, it's an aymara name. Centuries ago someone took a Virgen de Copacabana to Rio, and the beach took the name from our Virgen.
WOW! Well Mario!
