Love your blog Really love getting your detailed account of your trip. Good to hear your opinion of the Treaty House tour. Probably not something I’d do without the recommendations.
Eutopia Lovely to read about your well illustrated travels . . . . Eutopia Cafe/gallery is certainly a "must visit" gallery - Radha and I have enjoyed it on a couple of occasions. Hope your trip continues happily.
Hello Robin - & Lyn whom I don't think I've met . . Just came across your travel blog, Robin, and beginning to read it with joy . . . My wife, Radha, and I enjoyed the Steam pink collection a couple of years back . . . I was just "browsing", idly, when your blog appeared on the horizon. I am sort of filling in time, waiting to travel 10 min north to Waitarere where the "Great Forest Event" takes place today. I have entered tor run (jog, slowly) in the 10k event that, at 771/2, I have found tiring getting some fitness together but I am hoping I might finish in not too much of 70 min. Fairly wet hear today . . . Will go browsing now, Charles
Septuagenarian runner!? Hello Charles.
Very nice to hear from you and know that you are still able to jog 10k. Very, very few of my old running companions are able to do that anymore.
Lyn and I enjoyed our South Island sojourn very much. So much still to see and experience that we'll have to go back.
I hope you ran to your fitness level and haven't returned home with a pulled calf muscle...............:-(
Kind regards
Robin
Coromandel Hi there, It looks like you're having a grand time in the rugged terrain of the Coromandel. We did that walk a few years back with the brother in law from Pauanui. We got dropped off and Colleen drove around and piced us up at the other end. I don't remember the hills much - but - we were MUCH younger then.
Enjoy the experience.
The bikerides down in the Waikato area look good to do if you have your bikes. Perhaps you will call on the Hewletts on the way back? They're back home after spending a couple of nights here in their camper.
Any curiosity that I might have about the sky couch for us is now completely satisfied. If you two can’t do it there is zero hope that Peter and I might fit! Love your travel blog keep it up! I managed to get my 8 videos up on YouTube yesterday, under End of Life Choice Bill, and while re-watching to make sure All was well, discovered I had mis-spelled a Word in one of the title clips. @#!! Means I have to delete it (it was enough of a learn curve to get it up!), and go back to iMovie to replace that clip, then put it up again, without changing its name. See you in the Spring!
A different way to finish an assignment Your blogs made interesting reading. Starting off well, ups and downs in the middle, a traumatic finish followed by a boring wat it an airport. You won't forget the experience in a hurry. We look forward to a catchup.

So what was their problem? Pretty tense time I imagine - did you find what the basis of it was ? Will we have to wait until you get home to share that with us? Safe travel
Wow, that is some adjustment to make Hi Robin,
It sounds like you've been dropped in the deep end. A real cultural change in both food and traffic. Hmmm, I think we'll stick to Germany and Switzerland - seems quite calm and likely quite dull by comparison!

Teaching like a NZ teacher Good on you for assessing the level the students were at modifying the material and expectations. Maybe given simple sentences - the change past and present verbs to start with. I'm sure you will crack it Rob. No wine is even more of a problem!!
Great place isn't it? Reading your blog brought back lovely memories of Whistler and Vancouver. We loved both places and would go again. It'll be great to catch up with you and compare notes.
Yes, we know what you mean about the heat. Horrible isn't it when you're not used to it. However, it's doing nothing but rain here - day after day after day. Not sure which is worse.

Enjoy the warm weather despite the smoke Hi there,
It's wet, wet, wet here with NO smoke. Enjoy at least being dry and have a fab time in Whistler. We loved it there,

Stunning Hi there,
You are having a relaxing times after the chaos of the cities and roads. Halong Bay looks absolutely stunning and serene - in the pictures anyway. Maybe with all those other boats about it's not quite so serene. Enjoy.

Sounds hot Hi there,
Enjoying your blogs. We are now back home and in New Plymouth until Saturday. It's wet, wet, wet but it's not hot like Hanoi! I don't envy you that heat. Hate it.
Regardless, you'll enjoy the cultural differences and hopefully Lynny will get some time to relax.
Love TTATs
We are Lyn and Robin - 60 and 70 something's - started traveling later in life when the kids were old enough not to care about where we were (in a good way).
Not adventure travelers but eager to see new places, meet people and enjoy new experiences.... full info
