The young men are not scared to go and feed these creatures??
Especially the scar faced one with no mouth.
Wow. Hope you are having fun, Say Hi to Clive
Take care. Love Lorie
Youth Have No Fear and besides they do this every day and have likely been part of this sort of thing since the time they could walk. They are respectful of the animals and do not do anything too crazy. Oh, some red macaws just flew over.
lots to see and do Hi Fay - well you really seem to be making the most of your visit to CR - you have already seen more than I have (I have been several times). I am curious to hear about Monteverde, we talked about going this year, when we went to Arenal - we were told the road is terrible! So we didn't bother...Arenal is fabulous though, the lake is beautiful and the hot springs are awesome. Enjoy the rest of your stay.
Rain forest Interesting vegetation! Hey! Trying to find your way to the rain forest was a big no-no. Remember how we just about got lost on Gili T, an island that was maybe a mile or so long? And we were walking...we are directionally challenged. It seems that CC suffers from the same malady!
Very interesting - to bust or not.. Those are not "bull" frogs. We had these lovely singing creatures in St. Maarten. They really are tree frogs, you know, the lovely green tiny frogs that have the little bubbles on the end of the toes. On Discovery Channel the toe bubbles are coloured. WE had a run in with the tiny deadly tree frog creature one night when John didn't see it there - and put his hand on it . The frog was unmoved but John screamed and did the " Oh yuck! I can't believe I touched it, brruck!!!" Dance. So funny! They are small, took a picture of the beast to remember. Glad you are having fun. We are back last night - great time too. Love and take care CF + CC.
Zoo Great pictures! I can't wait to see you and catch up on all you have experienced. Francisco and family are nice looking and what a delight to be part of their family and not having to drive on some of those treacherous roads!
Through the streets in my Kilt I'll go ... :-) Sounds wonderful! We're sooooo envious as we're freezing and digging out here .... You must be having a wonderful vacation - total relaxation and viewing the ocean - the sites and meeting people there! We can't wait to hear the stories and see the pictures! Take care and be safe!
Your holiday I am glad you are enjoying yourself. Rose says she wished she would of stayed longer , 2 days of getting there and then 4 hours to drive to their place to stay and 2 days to come back home so she only had 6 days there she said.
Then some of the group she was with just came back to bad news, one of the sons was to marry in June and instead tried to commit suicide but did not succeed so has brain damage. So she will hear more later she says.
Also the guy Kent who was 92 years old and putting on the chinese suppers of Taichi dies on Wed , still going thru with the supper inj his honor.
Nothing else new . Enjoy your holiday
Oh boy, it just reminds us of how fragile life is and how we need to grab all he happiness we can and hold it near to us. Thanks for the email Lori - it is always good to hear from home.
So glad! Oh so glad that I got thru to you and you sent.... Nnnot sure what, BUT as you can see (I hope) I have seen, read, and walked with you thru your pictures!!!! I can hardly wait to hear how much fun you have with Monika. I also hope you enjoybevery thing at the Grand M like we did! Hope you are ready to be served and hard booze toooo!
now, there it is! yup, now that is my kinda town!!! You look so wild and crazy just touring around in your
Cat-alake. Oh no cat... Is that a donkey or a small crazy little horse. All you need is the jug over the left shoulder.. He he he
nizze x2 hey, there is that famous body again! Is he one of your stalkers.. Or just one of the random European/Russian that are found hanging out there? Ha ha
your comment about leaving off the make up struck my funny bone. when my sister and i were in mexico (we realized right away that it WAS a gay town) we didn't wear any make up either. being sisters, your body language w each other is different- you touch each other more, you sit closer and talk more into each other's face. you know- directly. after a couple days we srarted to realize that people thought we were lesbians! no kidding! it was just part of the vibe we were both picking up on. we thought it would be so funny to end the speculation by putting on a full face of make up including (of course) red lipstick, stilletto heels, and real tight black slinky pants with a tight shirt and a pushup bra. but then we thought that would be even funnier, since neither of us can walk in heels. in the end we figgered-who the fuck cares anyway? and about which part do they care if at all! just so funny, strange and a different from any thing else i've experienced before.......stay in touch......love to hear about your excursions both expected and unexpected.
UBUD :( Hey sister,,,
As I get nearer to the final packing<< I will have you cross that one off my list of necessities,,,
Although I will admit you did have me laughing...
I am happy to hear you two are such good sports!!
PS i have still packed my make up LOL
Love ya
PSSS I forget,,are you meeting me at airport
we are enjoying reading about your trip. craig's question- what are the day and night temperatures? my question- is the water as clear as in mexico? and the same temperature, that is, tepid and inviting? is it safe? are you having fun trying to communicate or is english spoken at all? sounds like your accomodation would possibly be like a cabin. rustic but servicable. your'e no pansy, fay, you can do rustic AND still get your lipstick on straight if you want to. at least before the vodka comes out. maybe not AFTER the vodka comes out, but by then who the hell cares. this little island sounds like a place where you can really start to unwind. relax and enjoy......suzanne and craig...ps happy valentines day!
Lover of Bali Hi Girlfriend - your trip sounds AMAZING! The overall exoticness (is that a word?) of that part of the world is really coming out in your blogs! Make sure you take lots of pictures and hope you're able to utilize that box of goodies I passed onto you before you left! Love you and miss! p.s. - I'll have to turn up the volume of my i-pod ocean sounds as I run around the Field House track and I'll try my very best to envision a 1-1/2 hr. power walk along the beach!! xxoo k.
I am going to be travelling to Bali at the end of January and would love to share this travel blog with all my friends. I'll try to tell my stories in an amusing way and if the day has been rather dull, can't imagine, thena little embellishment will be added to make the story more enjoyable.....Tell us a bit about yourself: this information will appear on your page and can be edited later.... full info
