i am back to a place called home hi Vic,
while you were traveling at your little dirty space for 24 hours , i was slept on my own bed for last 10 hours at Taipei , then A-Li prepared the birdnest soup as my breakfast. however , we all felt inspired of good life experience , didn't we ?
Jon said altrusim is not exist ? wait until his baby girl born , he will change his mind , my superhero , keep on backpacking in Gao.

Good arguement It is indeed very difficult to be not selfish, especially when feelings are also count as "return".
I love those pictures. India kids looks so smart and cute.
i've always wanted to go to kerala. its filled with strips of still murky water but with greenery there is unbelievably untouched. ugh victory im itching to fly over to hang out with u. that baby elephant made my heart melt. the waterproof camera is doing wonders :) you (or should i say the camera) fully captured the moment of hard rain hitting against the water. im glad you just stripped down and enjoyed the moment. vic!!!
"I finally found out who is the God of Gods, and his name is Brahma the creator. He has four faces and he rocks! " this cracked me up.
gosh...i agree with ur dad, this is a great question you brought up. i dont even know where to begin. i never thought about talking about my fears in writing or aloud. but i will be starting right now.
I agree Yep, I agree with you JC, when you say the mind has to be strong enough to address it and move on like water. This is what I meant by power to ignore, to find the truth and 'move on' or 'ignore' it so it isn't nagging in the back of our mind the whole time. However, being ignorant means that you don't address the situation at all, you just avoid it because you feel your mind can't handle it. The power to ignore is useful. Think about why men are so confident towards women when they are drunk, bc they 'dont care what other people think' and they just ignore their opinions. The four words of confidence that drunk guys say to each other are " Go For It, Man" hahah, it works!
I disagree somewhat If someone happens in the path of life - you can't simply 'ignore' it.
Your mind has to be strong enough to address it and move on like water if you will.
I'm just asking you is your mind really like water if you are trying to go against the stream? Or is it the way you react to the stream. You said the act of ignoring can be instant forgiveness but you had to think and react to come to that conclusion. But that thinking and reacting itself can also lead to someone over analyzing a comment about being called water melon too and being depressed.
So I'm just saying I think there is more than just 'ignore' and the path to inner peace truly lies within how you react to the unpredictable stream of life's events.
Anyways If I'm being a fool just ignore me!
I just cannot ignore this wonderful boy! What a relief to see Vic's blog again! I try not to worry but if I could really ignore my feeling about my son, then I am not a mom!
Seeing you doing meditation at the boat makes me feel at ease and proud.
You learn so fast.
Thanks for saying ' ignorant" is not a bad thing. for all these years, I alwasy wondering if I ignored you too often.
Be empathy but not bothered by what others think, maybe it is better than just ignore.
Love you, cannot ignore you in my life.
hello Thanks for the blog. I am planning on going to India and China in two years to visit where the World Honored One had got enlightened and then plan to see the Buddhist Monasteries in China. Thanks for the great blog and remember what the Buddha had said- "All conditioned things are impermanent- When one sees this with wisdom, one turns away from suffering. This is the path to purification" Take care!
With Respect,
Brent
Fast Forward at Kerala I am happy you visited kerala and enjoyed its beauty at the fullest. The adventure you experienced would surely make Kerala, a hot spot for other tourists too. But as I visit your post and while reading your expedition with the safari troupe, just realized that how much fun you would have had on a virgin beach which is popularly called - The Gateway city of Kerala backwaters. I am referencing you to Kollam Beach which is an old sea port town on the Arabian coast , stands on the Ashtamudi lake.
Re: Interesting Blog Hey,
How are you? You have an interesting blog and deeply intriguing perspective of life. You have not mentioned where is this place located in India.
You also said you are from Taiwan. Do you travel alot? Do you post similar blogs?
Abs.
loneliness Hey fatty! Hang in there, now the REAL adventure begins! Keep on blogging and I'll keep reading! Have fun and be safe :) Always go with your gut feeling if you're feeling lost!
Warior Vic is entering the no fear path Hi Vic , What a great question you throw to us -- ' What am i afraid of ? ' Let me quot from Franklin Roosevelt at 1933 , when the US in financial depression like Today , he said " the only thing we have to fear is fear itself " i appriciate you shared how you overcome your fear to us , first , we have to aware its existing , admit it, process it ( storytelling ) , then integrated to your daily behavior. Let's reflect and practice this wisdom into the challenge of life in relationship ( you know , it's suck in reality, between father vs son, daugter vs Mother , friends , lovers, of course , couples) i learn to self-soothe. Now my FEAR about loss or failures or loneliness or somethingnever be replaced or darkness or being rejected or live up with others expectation ( specially partner and parents ) or death , becoming the builing blocks of my personal completeness . did i say death ? , yes, it's ultimate fear for everybody , more than ' can not find a job '. i will give a shot to apply to my own death. Ha ha.
in addition , i was also inspired by you said " the cure for lonelyness is to solidute " . Wow ,our lost Buddha transfers to warior who is entering the enlighting , fearless path. '
pizza! i guess the definition of "utopia" is when everyone shares a similar peace of mind. I think this peace of mind is contagious, so maybe it is possible ultimately.
That pizza looks legit! thin, bubbly, a little burnt on the edges... it looks better than 95% of american pizzerias!
glad to see you are updating frequently, i thought you would probably make like 2 entries and then forget about it or something, but you are building a great record of your journey that i can take something away from. happy travels, and keep on writing!

Cow doo doo When I visited Tibet, there was a family with stacks and stacks (piled up like pancakes) of cow poop in their front lawn. Apparently, they were saving them to burn as fuel in the winter days. though... i'm not sure how cold it gets in India.. just a thought.
