The return visit Nice that you want to go back again. I remember once meeting two Americans in a hostel in Munich who were "doing" Germany in about one afternoon and then setting off again. Not good.

Sagalouts You only count as a Sagalout if go somewhere pretty, but don't go more than 50ft from the car/coach. Seeing only the cafe's of the world and not the sights. Where's the fun in that. None of us have reached that stage yet. I hope anyway.
Hope you kept the 'bubonic plague' rat as a souvenir! Sounds fab. I love the idea of watching a movie on the beach under the stars - wow!! I bet you are well on your way to Melbourne by now - somewhere i've always fancied going, so can't wait for your verdict. Won't be long before you leave Oz and head for 'Lord of the Rings' territory 'my precious'. Take Care lol Samantha xx
Murder, suicide, sexual devience, sounds just like the front page of The Express And Star - bet you felt right at home! Sounds like you're having an excellent time though, really enjoying reading the entries - always wanted to go to Australia, so mildly jealous hehe - but lets not get knocking buses, they have the potential for quality entertainment, especially when full of drunk old sexually frustrated men on a Friday night home.
Cascades Looked up cascades on google. very impressive. Nice to be able to watch videos. No country for old men won best film and since i thought it was awful i shant have to bother going to the cinema again this year. i'll just keep watching old ones i like. (which wont include interview with a vampire)
Representing the plague - I think you've found your true calling ;) I will have to take you back to Eyam in that case. Don't worry, the world is doing fine at being a pain in the a**e without you around. Not quite the same though! Nearly all done in Australia now - are you sad?
Gudday! Sounds like you're having a fab time! Great scenery, scuba and bats... you must be in heaven. I look forward to reading each of your blogs, makes me smile in an otherwise dull day at work. Make sure you stick to the recommended paths on your treks...I know how you like to take a detour along the extra long routes!
Take care, kate x
Busy Girl God Lizzie, can't belive how much you've seen in such a short space of time. we all miss you at Ant and we all keep looking at your blog at dinner time, to see what you've been up to. Sydney sounds great and Emma and I would have loved to watch you "act" Bubonic Plague. You do seem to be bumping into a lot of Pillocks over there, hope you meet some nice people soon. Take care. Love Nicola
Sydney Hello Cuz. Sounds like you'm havin fun. I remember Wil being thoroughly dissapointed with Bondi beach too. My father recommended Kuta beach in Bali, for years and years, so when I finaly got there that was dull too. I think beaches must change over time because Kuta used to be all the rage and is now like Blackpool.
Glad you're still alive - will write more soon.
Love Tim
Sounds pretty, and I'm sure there were some nice female backpackers too! ;) I will just tell you to be careful walking on your own, and you will tell me that you will, and then we can both blissfully ignore what you'll really do... :) Keep safe!
An offer I can't refuse Sounds to tempting to miss.
Arriving in New Zealand on Saturday (I think, lost track of days of week) Will be on the North Island from around 28th March-10th April. The bus takes us in a straight line up past Auckland and back again, through lots of places whose names I can't remember right now.
Don't suppose I could come and impose on you for a day or so?
What a lot you are learning!!! or did you know it all befire you set out? You seem unsurprised by all the vicissitudes of travelling and unphased by disappointments. According to the script which I have read you have not so far jumped up and down in rage nor have you physically abused any of the completely unreasonable travellors who have shared a seat in a bus with you. The only slightly acidic remark you have made concerned those suffering in Sheffield and I consider that remark completely jusified. You are a good brave girl.
Hello! I can't believe it's almost a month since you left!! Wow - and you've done so much already. I saw Sarah the other day and she said 'hi'. She couldn't believe you were more interested in bats than cute ickle wallabies and koalas :) Btw I want to see a photo of you (and i'm sure everyone else agrees!!) Just to check that you are suitably smiley and suntanned... Looking forward to the next entry... Take care. lol Samantha xx P.S. I hope you haven't picked up any bizarre australian catchphrases yet.
Not at Journeys End Hello there well Sydney is a place you can loose yourself in sounds you getting to grips with yourself nothing like a road trip of +1000 miles to get the old noggin going. awaiting your next instalment Lizzie have a great day M8
Cairns Hi.Great to read your blog.Went to Cairns last year.Only snorkled out to sea away from those poisomous jelly fish. You will just love the tropical water life.
Still here in NZ if u want to milk a cow! Will be in Queensland for Easter otherwise home.Jean
Sounds wonderful!! Please - no serious thoughts - just enjoy!! Sounds absolutely wonderful. I'm very jealous. I hope you have cultivated a tan by now (ha ha). Anyway off to a boring meeting for the next couple of hours. I will probably spend most of it daydreaming about Oz now - so thanks for that. lol Samantha xx
It's rather nice to go on a lunch break and be made to smile quite involuntarily! Don't worry about the serious thoughts for now, they'll get in the way of the nice views (of things other than bats). Only you could get introspective and squeeze Superted in there! Keep on the road to exciting places. A bit like the Littlest Hobo?
Oh wonderful! If there's one thing I hate, its public showers. Our gym showers at work smell like something has died and then fermented in there, and there's always an inch of water on the floor that's been there for eons - no wonder Ian gets athlete's foot every week. At least nobody has stumbled in and vomitted all over you after a night on the Fosters though eh?
Sounds (and looks) like Brisbane is as nice as Anne and Kieron made it out to be. I will definitely have to visit at some point! That shot of the war memorial is beautiful. And here I was thinking it was raining all the time :)
