House girl needed????? Katie--Your experiences are priceless!!! I hope you are keeping a travel journal during your stay in Paris. The older couple you described sound wonderful. Do they need a house girl for their house in the Alps?????
Welcome to the world of 21 my love! It's a great place to be, and although it doesn't really matter over there, it will matter once you come back here. I'll have to buy you a drink when you get back! Love you!

Damn metro cops! Katie! That sucks, you weren't even breaking the rules, I got caught for sneaking a friend in with me and it cost 40 euros so just pretend that your cute face got you a 5 euro discount. Doesn't the school give you a metro card? When I was there they gave us one of those purple swirl ones that you just pass over the gate for the year as part of our fees...Hope things get worked out and don't worry about the leaps and bounds...3 months for me and then it came in the form of dreams in French and subconciously understanding the TV in the next room (all of the sudden I'm thinking about mideval France for no good reason at all, just to realize that the woman I lived with was watching a romantic period piece on King Arthur.) My trick was, just drink half a bottle of wine or so and it all makes much more sense (though don't do it before class or an exam!) Missing you, I unpacked my purple scarf yesterday! Jennifer
Katie my dear may I just say I'm quite jealous you were able to see Rodin's The thinker. I somehow have always been in awe of that sculpture. Especially now: I'm taking anatomy and we're working with cadavers doing muscles , and it is even more incredible now that Rodin could capture the fluidy of muscle in a solid hunk. Wowza, don't forget how special you are and don't underestimate your own artistic power. (even if it is just snapping a keepsake of these famed works of art) MWAA xoxo -Laura
