Lisbon...and vitamin D Great to hear you spent time with a legend. I'm glad your weather was good. The colors in your photos are so vibrant. Thanks for sharing.
ok im sold love these pics! and your descriptions!!! ok i want to go can you send me some travel dets and tips on where to stay!!! you should really be getting paid by some tourist board!
Me too! I spent two weeks in Portugal about ten years ago - on a job evaluating the Luso-American Foundation. I really liked the city and the people I worked with. But I missed some of your tourist spots - my loss!
Two weeks with the family I'm so glad you had a nice visit from home. All the holiday decorations make it special and vibrant. I laughed when I heard your father was measuring the shadow angles...that is priceless. We are who we are! Your Iceland blog was one of the first blogs we read when doing our research for our trip to Iceland. We long to return to those healing waters of the blue lagoon. Happy New Year and happy travels.
wow! what a great entry!! i feel like reindeer could be popping up in any of your photos and look right at place! hope 2014 brings the same adventure and beauty!
Where's the snow? While I can see you're having fine adventures, and it has turned cold, I imagined Sweden covered in snow, certainly in December! I do hope you have some for a proper Nordic Christmas. I love that your school celebrated the Nobels--so much more civilized than celebrating some sports event. Best wishes for great holidays with your family and new friends there! Skal!
Sweden and more I enjoy every detail of the local traditions, the foods, music and hope you will keep blogging about them. You weekends sound fantastic. We love following your work! We are going to Vienna for New Year's. If you end up there let us know. We would love to meet you.
Too fun! I would love for our paths to cross! My awesome family is coming to visit, and we are heading north into the colder dark, though. Enjoy all the markets and lights in Vienna. I'll ask my friend about the cafe we enjoyed lunch in. It was wonderful and not touristy. Safe and happy travels!
School Celebrations What a wonderful idea to celebrate Alfred Nobel and the awards and such a positive experience for the children. When I taught RE (Religious Education) I tried to celebrate many of the festivals from around the world not just the main ones, pupils loved it especially the food!
Congratulations on making it to the front page of travel blog! Now that you have 5 followers you are a front page blogger! Sounds like you continue to embrace life. Glad you found a knitting group. I remember your knitting in Iceland. Thanks for blogging again.
Great blog! Katie-- We love to read your blogs...you are such a good writer, but you also have such wonderful adventures! We are grateful for your spirit! You are an inspiration! Stay healthy!
