I'm sure that was a trip of a life time for the both of you. Not everybody has a wife that would even think of doing anything remotely close to that. Goes to show you what can be accomplished with some sound knowledge and preparation and support from family and friends.
picture with Steve hughes in Kanab Hi Jacque, I was the one talking to Steve in your picture. I wish I had known about your route down the Pacific Coast Highway thru Huntington Beach, you drove right by my house! We have the maroon and black 1912 Torpedo.
Hope to see you in Eureka Springs soon but after such a trip as you just completed you deserve a long rest!
Thanks for posting such interesting reading and great pictures!

Welcome back home This was a great adventure, thanks for allowing other T lovers to follow your trip. I hope to be able to do something similar in the future. You made it look easy.
Best

Welcome back home Gus,
I was in your position one time, read & hearing guys talk about their travels with their Model A's. I couldn't wait for the time to come that we would start driving to National Club Meets. I love to tour, vacation & the challenge of distance driving. I know one day you will do similar trips and enjoy the fun we had.

couple of questions Do you have original axle bearings with hardened sleeves? or do you have the new modern style bearings? Do you have a standard ratio rear end? or high speed? How did your kingpins work? Do you standard oilers on the kingpins or grease fittings?
Couple of questions The car has a 3 to 1 ring & pinion, original Ford rear axle bearings with the hardened sleeves and the king pins are oiled every morning before leaving, no grease fittings.
Looking on TV now for you in a FORD adv. What a feat! This should be in their information of FORD has built it to last, this is what Jim says. I am glad your bodies endured and you are safely home. Thanks for including us in your travels.
Faith Before you left on the trip I asked the question "are you taking something along for protection?" You said without hesitation " I am depending on the Lord all the way" I write this with tear's in my eye's. Your Testimony before you started impressed me and the Lord had no choice but to protect you the whole trip BECAUSE OF YOUR FAITH. I praise the Lord for His Testimony showing us how Faith is the Key to Life on this earth and for eternity. God Bless you always.
WONDERFUL!!!!!!! What wonderful news that you made it home safely.
We are so happy that you had a wonderful trip and saw so much of the country, your friends, the places you used to live and work etc. Newell said you are so brave to tackle such a trip. He wishes he could do it but is not brave enough to tackle it.
It was great fun for us to follow you along the way and see the pictures of the trip. Now just relax and enjoy the rest of the summer at home.
wow I've enjoyed minute of your trip via this blog. Thanks so much for taking the time to share it with us. I now have to call you my SUPER cousins. So glad you made it back safely. Love you!
Jacque, I just know you aren't going to let a leaky head bolt stop you. I'm praying for you. You know you drive more in one day then in all the years I had my "T". Which would be 42!
enjoying your blog We have enjoyed your pictures and blogs and look forward to them every day. Continue to drive safely and enjoy the rest of your trip. You two are so adventurous to do such a wonderful trip. Henry FORD would be so proud of the way that T has performed on such a long trip. Continue to pray for your safe return home.
we are going to miss the Ford Model T symbol in pictures...have enjoyed the trip as you did the work. Thanks for setting up this blog and most of all for including Sedan, Kansas in your trip. Mom, has enjoyed the trip by letter as the first car she drove was a Model T.
Well known in America I believe that you know people in every State in the U.S. Don't get a big head but you look much younger than any of your friends. Would you be willing to run for President??????? You got my Vote.
