not just crazy man on the street! See you got a nice shoemaker washing your dishes! That's an improvement from being accosted on the street with a proposal.
Glad to year you're enjoying Germany These youth hostel situations are kind of cool, huh? Thanks for the myrids of updates along your travel. Glad you will have lots of good memories!
fix for the flats Hi, Judy. I am enjoying your reportage. Jenny forwarded it to me. By the way, if you are using a PC you can download free from Google their wonderful photo manipulation program called Picasa. It will fix those photos you think are too flat and do it mighty quickly. Hope to see you when you get back.
Actually, propsal #2 Got asked again. This guy wants to fly back with me at the end of the month. I told him 'i already have a boyfriend back at home' he said, no matter, he still wants to marry me. I just don't get the humor here.
so you are rebellious Did you make a huge file about your hostfamily´s inhospitality and mess? dirty diapers and pads - yuck *host host vomitting*
But anyway and listen carefully now:
I might go back to Krakow for one week in the beginning of June, with my husband this time. He's okey, not as funny as I am, but I am a special case I guess.
Let's meet again then, right!
Take care - Vala
simply irresitable! Very funny, crazy man trying to pick you up in Germany, very nice work. Hey at least you've got people wanting to pick you up. No one has ever wanted to pick me up...come to think of it, I am always the one doing the picking, present husband included!
But this does solidify your position. I shall hence forth put you down, in ink, straight. HA.
one for the gipper hey. buck up. no need to feel down. remember, some of us are
trying to live vicariously through your travels, compared to our
daily routine of working to the bone slaving away for science. i
consider it your duty to have fun, if only for my own sake.
how are those socks holding up?
Germany Okeypis in Icelandic.
Nice to read that you'r ok. Now you must miss Poland, I guess. How long are you going to stay in Germany? Whom are you staying with? Are you speaking German now? Did you add a lot to you polish speaking profiency? Oh - I am supposed to be studying- not reading blogs- I'll email you soon, got a lot to tell. Take care& see you in Hawaii ; þ

underwear hi Vala, yea, my vala underwear gives me murfs! :-p
i will keep this number until i get into germany (saturday afternoon) then
i will get a new german #. sms'ing you in iceland costs me 2.50 zl! that's why
i haven't written you back for that last message.
me and buses are like this ... i would've caught that one if all by myself, i'm sure. but i had gone to
lunch with my friend, who then wanted to check out a bookstore to see
if they sold maps, and then the sales lady really wanted to help, and
then i was stuck there with her and her for what seemed like... eternity,
and then i got screwed. :-/
Majdanek I borrowed a tape from one of my Polish friends about Majdanek. Unfortunately I have not taken the time to watch it yet, since I am always so busy. Right now I am studying English grammar (heavy) because I have an exam on friday. Everything else is fine, tonight I'm going to teach Icelandic to foreigners (Polish ppl, Russians, one from Zanzbar and one from Litvia) and I am going to feed them with the Polish candy and chocolate I bought in Kraków.
Take care & keep in touch. Vala
ps. Sorry to know that the underwear don't fit well!
Thanks for the advice I've given up on finding authentic Asian type foods. I'll save my money for when I go back home to eat that stuff. I had a feeling that the Chinese-Vietnamese restaurants here were all in the cahoots together... they all have similar red and yellow (gold) decorations outside and they are ALWAYS Chinese-Vietnamese, not Chinese by itself, or Vietnamese by itself. I DO enjoy eating the "native" borrowed food here, but sometimes I just feel like having something different. I will try to find fried trout, but unfortunately I do not eat meat. :-/
Smakus is special I forget what the species name was, but he's got really short and curly hair and he doesn't shed. When I first saw him, I asked Renata if she had cut his hair. He always looks wet, too. Mostly even tempered, and definitely the runt.
Ask for a new towel? You kidding me? I had to ask for the one I'm using now when I arrived. I think they assumed I would be bringing my own linens (and I assumed that I had paid for all of this stuff)... Yeah, your hosts were the nice hosts!
My room back home yeah, it's a disaster with papers and clothes everywhere, but at least I don't have dirty diapers lying around or a week's worth of dishes in the sink. And my place doesn't stink! So just let me complain, alright?
Kiedy... Yea, she probably didn't hear and it was just a big misunderstanding. But I know I had said it in the beginning because I was mouthing it to myself when I was standing in line -- Niedziela, do Lublin... I guess I'm content with how the situation turned out. I got my ticket (though now as I'm looking at it I'm not sure sure where the bus is going), I got rid of some small change, and I've learned something. ;-p
Attitude I would have suggested u try to make Thailand your swing stop on your way back from the eastern FRONT. oh my friggin god, i'm not going to venture to Polland. I'll even mimic my poll friends in the States.
Before I was sypathetic, when in Rome do as the Romans. So be it. I sensed you were picking up the vibe from day one. People rant, vent, tell their lifestory to make their point. Fight fire with fire, join them!!
I copied a bunch of pictures from Thai new year, Songkran, water festival. I'll send you a link to see.

I told you! You should have moved to my family - as I told you. I cannot understand why they won't let you wash. And they should give you a new towel, just ask for it. But it will soon be over, and I bet you´ll miss them (not)! Hang in there and take care!
