In Santiago we stayed in a place called Aji Hostel in Providencia. The Aji is a Peruvian hot pepper, or chilli, so it was a little joke that I don't think they were aware of. It may not have been the cheapest joint getting around but we never checked anywhere else to find out. The Bar The bar, like so many hostels, was Aji’s heartbeat. It wasn’t the crazy night out that some hostel bars are, but it had plenty of comfy chairs, the beer was reasonably priced and every night dinner was provided free - as long as you bought a beer.
