Crossing Etosha National Park Africa » Namibia » Etosha National Park By jenronOctober 12th 2006 We spent the whole day crossing the Etosha park from west to east and observing wonderful wildlife on the way. We were delighted to see our first lions at a watering hole. They were lazing in the sun and eventually trouped off in a column into the savannah. At the same waterhole a dozen elephants arrived including young calves. It was a wonderful scene. There were large groups of giraffe and numerous springbok and zebra. We also saw oryx, eland, tik-tik, warthogs, kudu, Koris bustard, ostrich, a fantastic hooded owl perching very close, wildebeest and jackal. It was a stunning days viewing. We
