howdy guys! so glad koko came home, i was worried sick for a couple of paragraphs Joel and I bought a pull behind camper last year and put it in a campsite on Hyde Lake near Theresa all summer. we were there almost every weekend. our daughter and the grandkids came up for a couple of weekends too. Due to water problems last year, unfortunately the beach never opened. but we had a large grassy area and the kids kicked balls, ran, swang, had fun. by the end of the summer we were getting to know our campsite neighbors and were looking forward to this year. alas, it was not to be. The owners ran into more noncompliance with NYS rules and decided to shut it down. we were ibn scramble mode, but are now located in a campsite on the outside of clayton,
No hurricane here We dodged both Florence (just rain while in VA) and Michael (sprinkles and a few gusty blasts.) However, Mexico Beach has/had a lovely campground we enjoyed going to. The various seafood spots there and the quiet ambience made it a favorite. We are saddened by the total devastation of the area. Probably be a year or two until we can get back.
A fun read! Loved reading your blog, John! Hope I'll get a chance to read some more of your older ones one of these days. We've been stuck in Sullivan, MO... transmission went out in the truck! We will be able to continue our journey home in the morning!

Fun times It appears you provided an interesting and entertaining week for your grandchildren. We are taking our to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History for special trip before school starts. They live one mile away so we see them frequently and have watched them Fridays this summer.
Interested in milk crate Just noticed your comment from June. Would you be interested in selling the crate? I know Julie would love to have some memorabilia from her dad's farm. I'd love to surprise her with some things, if I can find them.
Carmen Renaldy a great influence to whom I owe a debt of gratitude Carmen Renaldy, he was my High School Choir director and Church Choir director. Can not express in words the gratitude I hold for this man, a great soul. How can I get a letter to him. If you see him tell Eric said "ME me maw, me me maw, me me maw aw aw aw aw aw aw. -Eric
Dollywood in the Fall Yep, that's the new one. Lot's more room, includes a rocker/recliner for Trish. But honestly, since we got it at Lazydays in AZ, nothing but trouble. Generator not working and expensive, odometer not right and expensive fix, leaf spring in front rusted off, electric system not right and battery goes dead, etc. I'd trade out in a heartbeat if it didn't cost so much to do that.
Hard to believe high school is that far behind us. I am approaching my 40th class reunion in just 18 months! Never realized just how close in age we are! Looks like a grand time was had by all!
