Eid Holidays gives me time to update and awaken something that I started 4 years ago. This time I'll be sharing my 1st winter experience....Snowfall at first sight :) Flashback to last December 2017, one of the bravest thing I did was to booked a plane ticket and celebrated my 29th birthday in Georgia. Many might think that I was referring for the state in America. But nope, It is somewhere between Europe and Asia (EurAsia) along with the Caucasus Mountain. So, for us working in the Middle East, Georgia has been the famous getaway place in any of the 4 seasons. Roughly only 4 hours direct flight from Doha (ooooppss,, location update my last blog entry I was still in Oman now I changed my work location) never-mind guys!. and almost 7 hours if with ... read more

Asia » Philippines » Cebu » Oslob October 11th 2016

Okay..for the 2nd part of my Cebu Trip, here's the complete details of my close encounter with whale-sharks. It was a dilemma between a day tour at Bohol or Whale-shark watching at Oslob for us on our 3rd day at Cebu. Of course we took in consideration the fact that most of my squads are not a swimmer. (Ahmmm..wait.. not sure about it maybe I'm just talking about my self?. Lol). But then again, due to limited time we decided to proceed to Oslob for a once in a lifetime experience. We have this joke about our trip that it was all about pushing yourselves to the limits.Push pa more! LoL( Did I got it right?) It was a very early morning travel for us since the 1st bus trip to Oslob is 3:30 AM. We ... read more

Asia » Philippines » Cebu » Cebu City July 14th 2016

One of the major reason of my annual vacation in the Philippines is because of the 10 months old Cebu air ticket which I booked 2 months after I arrived here in Oman (Promo rate as usual- I'm a sucker of airfare promos- haha). Good thing I was able to invite some of my previous closest workmates to tag along. So #Cebusquads are all set to invade the Queen City of the South! The only downfall of this trip is the Flight schedule that I booked for my friends. Originally we planned to merge Cebu-Bohol tour but the timings of our flight won't permit us. So squeezing everything out of 3 nights and 2 days were our travel goal. Day 1 Arrived at Cebu: 11:30 AM Rode a shuttle bus going to SM Cebu to grab ... read more

Asia » Philippines » Negros » Bacolod April 20th 2014

For someone who has a full time job like me, it is always a privilege to be able to have a long vacation (1 week). So why not enjoy the chance and spend it in one of the happiest place in the Philippines known as the "City of Smiles" (also with sweetest dialect tone)...touchdown Bacolod City. Bacolod City is the capital of Negros Occidental located on the West part of Visayas. Travel time may vary depending on your mode of transportation if by plane (from Manila- 45 minutes to 1 hour) if by vessel (From Manila Port: 18-23 hours). Upon arrival I was welcomed by the gloomy weather. Kinda disappointing that the weather forecast for the coming days will be rainy and stormy But of course the weather will not served as a hindrance as I ... read more

Quick weekend getaway it is..for the longest time since my trip to KK Malaysia finally..I was able to experience again the joy of touring and exploring new places..This time..hello Baguio!. Since its my first time to visit the summer capital of the Philippines.I was very excited as i prepare and packed all my things especially the outfits..haha..(Epic fail I brought a lot of pullover, long sleeves and pajamas not considering that its already summer) oh well I still manage my not so weather friendly Baguio attire. Baguio is almost 6-7 hours drive from Laguna depending on the severity of traffic or how many stop over you want. We left Laguna friday night and arrived to our booked transient house Saturday morning around 3:30 am. For those who also want a quick peek to Baguio you may ... read more

So i finally got the chance to visit the so called "Floating and fun park restaurant". It was not bad but not as good as i expected from what i have been hearing from others. If you love taking pictures with different statue, well maybe you will enjoy this place. Isdaan Floating restaurant is located at the Calauan Laguna just after BAY. It is very easy to locate since it is just along the highway. What we have done first is to try the food. So from the name itself "Isdaan"- they caters mainly Filipino dishes with sea foods specialty. There are nipa huts all over the area wherein its up to you to find perfect place to dine with. You will just have to click the outlet inside the nipa hut to call for a ... read more

It was a sunny day probably a sign for the upcoming summer season. It is my first time to enter splash island and I am not really a water person. But this first time experience was a indeed a blast!. Since it was a team building of LT-LCSR (a group where my employer is an active member) i expected a very challenging activity ahead.I won't tell a story with regards to the activity but instead i will share my insights of the place and Splash Island's attractions. Spash Island is located in San Pedro Laguna, for those who are always passing by the SLEX you will immediately notice the place with big green slides on the side. It usually opens from March till end of summer from 8am-6pm. Inside the facilities you will enjoy different water sports activities. There ... read more

Asia » Malaysia » Sabah » Kota Kinabalu January 6th 2014

First airplane ride. Mixed emotions - 30% excited, 30% nervous and 40% thrilled and happy. This basically represents my feelings before going to Kota Kinabalu with my travel buddies as i tagged them (haha). Of course it is made possible because of the cheap airfare we availed 7 months ago before the actual flight. Kota Kinabalu is often known as KK located East part of Malaysia. It is a major fishing destination and a popular gateway for travellers visiting Sabah and Borneo. I list down our 3 days and 2 nights adventure and expenses for those who might want to visit and explore Sabah. DAY 1.. (City Tour) Expense: City Tour 100RM, SOUVENIRS (Tshirts and Nail cutter, keychains) 200RM Arrival at Kota Kinabalu: 12:00 PM Since ... read more
