quest for sunshine If sunshine is what you are after, you visited the Ecuadorian coast at the wrong time of year. The coast is covered by clouds all summer long. Beach season is from January to May, and the sun does come out then, as does the heat!

Hey Aura! Thanks for responding! Its been kinda cool having this as a side project while i am away.. had a pretty organized life in Toronto as you know and this helps me keep a little structure in my day to day life in what is a very unstructured existence. I am using a Canon EOS 450D with three different lenses.. a fixed focal 50mm, 18-55mm and a telephoto 55-250mm. My camera and this blog are my best friends at the moment and i hope you check in on me every now again...get everybody else to subscribe! Much Love...D
Hi Samantha.. Hey thanks for the response, this is my first attempt at blogging so i hope you are patient...has taken me a few days how to figure this sitre all out. I hope to be keeping an accurate journal of my trip and updating my blog with new entries and photos and photos as regularly as possible so stay posted. I plan on going through Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, through northern Chile and across into Argentina through Mendoza and flying out of Buenos Aires late October early November. If their is one suggestion that i can already make is that if you plan on being in Quito, Ecuador - definitely stay at the Secret Garden hostal and book early...it has totally made for an amazing and comfortable ease into my trip.
