Hi Clare and Ian,
Has been great to see your fab photos and read your stories of your adventures. I'm really sorry to read about Ruth's deteriation, and I'm thinking of you Ian. I wont be in Auckland when you get back as I'm off to Wellington for a week to help Jess and Dan, as she is pregnant with number three and they also have a couple of foster children at the moment, and all are home with school holidays!!! I will call around as soon as I get back home. Lots of love, Sally

Kids are coping Hi folks, yesterday was a low day for me as Mum was bad, but the kids are coping although they had a bit of problems with funny money yesterday. Two hundred pesos notes proved to be fake and they either came from the money machine or were swapped by a taxi driver showing them that their money was forged. Clare and I dont seem to have been hit yet but we did not buy and bits in the markets where I think most fake money was handed out.
We are well Hi David, yes we are well. The travelling group is a bit different this time, Terry and Sheena could not make it so it started with just Ruth and Peter, now though there three children have arrived so we are a group of seven. The trip has been good although my mother is not well, started with a triple bypass, then a bowel blockage and now more unwell.
Anyway hope you are well
Well done, you Guys!! We've been following all your adventures with much interest down here!
Very sorry to hear about Mum and her re-do surgery - fingers crossed, Ian.
We wondered where the kids were!
Mind you eating IN the lagoon and humanities bits in the church were just a bit over the top, even for you guys!!
Very lovely to hear about your Dad's new views on the world - "to live on in the hearts of those who love you is not to die"
Much Luv to you all

Kids are here Hi good to hear from you guys, the Kids joined us a couple of days ago. We just had caparingas with the Rowe family on the beach with chips and fried chicken - yum. Yes Mum has been having troubles with what sounds like the crash team called yesterday and she was shocked 4 times and her heart rate would still not behave - I dont think she arrested but they could not get her heart under control. Hope you guys are well and we will catch up on our return.

Loved This Place You have to love Salvador. Really. It's one of the most beautiful places ever! And its vibe it's simply wonderful. Lovely people, awesome beaches and very good hostels. I, personally had a great staying at Alpha, a very cozy place (with hot showers!) and spent all of my days in Porto da Barra, a fascinating beach nearby. Oh, the Lighthouse! So wonderful at night! Hope everybody have the chance someday to have the shrimps in Santo Antonio's. Hugs!!!
Wonderful! Am so loving 'travelling' with you all :) I remember Brazil and the 'big' bodies on the beach - loud, proud and tattooed! Sad about the little pets for sale... but it looks like you are having a wonderful time! So Jealous!!!
Rio It is tough, I am sitting here in the evening looking out over the beach and it is actually quite cool - low twenties! We should see more beach babes tonight
Mum Quickly read part of your blog entry, don't rush home finish your trip, put guilt aside enjoy what you can, Mum would not want you to do anything other than carry on. You will be able to help when you get back and yes I can cope!! Enjoy and we look forward to seeing you in March, until then we will enjoy you blog entries.
Enthusiastic traveller setting up a blog to keep family and friends informed on the CRIP tour.
The latest entries are for our second visit to South America, this time having a look at Brazil.
We have travelled a bit - been to Australia of course - not all of it but bits, China twice together but me 6 or 7 times for work, A bit of the USA, South America as before, A bit of Africa highlights being the Gorillas. My wife and I plan to do the harder places now and save easy places for when we are old and wrinkled... full info
