Those are amazing pictures! Some of those flowers look completely unreal. I now have a burning desire to try the cocoa fruit and a burning desire NEVER to try snake tequila. ::shudder x 1,000,000::

desert or clouds, which is better? LOVE the pictures....I had no idea the desert was that big!
Also...I noticed a brewsky on one of your pictures, at least you are having a good time :-)
can't wait for the Brian and Heather adventure update.
I can't see any of the photos *sniff* but your work sounds so interesting! Your relaxation time as well... I would love to try sandboarding sometime! And I'm so glad you and Brian will get to be together next month. I don't think I could have survived so long without Dan. :) (I'll try to send you a longer e-mail later...)
Hi Sweetie We know you are working as you have always had a great work ethnic! You take after your Mother trying to get everything done. I am glad you are enjoying yourself and so happy Brian will be able to join you soon!! Keep yourself safe and we are praying for you.
Love Grandma Vicki and Grandpa Larry
This is so cool.... Hello Heather,
Wow!! Looks like you are having such an amazing time.... Wish we could come visit you... I am learning a lot about Peru for sure...
Take care and keep having more fun..

Prayers are constantly sent I have also been to a bullfight when I was in Barcelona, Spain. It is sad for the bull and I am not planning on attending another one!
I just returned from my Africa mission trip and can understand your desire to help the people in Peru, who lack things that we Americans are blessed to have. Take care of yourself in your travels even though this is a great opportunity for you. Love you!
I'm so envious!!!! It amazes me the wonderful things you are experiencing so early on in life. I do have a question that I'm hoping you can answer...are salmonella poison and typhiod related illnesses? Weird question I know. David just moved into an apartment on Roosevelt Island in New York and at first Randall and I thought it was the same island Typhiod Mary was banished to, but we were wrong. So one thing led to another and we were looking up Typhoid Mary's story and then was typhiod was.
Hey I'm just trying to help yu keep your mind in the game!!!!!!!
Nice Pix Heather - great pictures. You look like you are doing well. I will try and stop worrying about you.
Calling to check on what we need to do as far as immunizations go.
Love you

show me the money.... If you show me the money then I will consider eating one ;)
I'm pretty ok understanding Spanish, but coming along (slowly) with speaking. Actually, it's kinda frustrating, but hopefully it will get better.
How are things in DE?
Grubs are yummy Awe! That is so great that you are hanging out with Howard! I bet that is a ton of fun! Please tell him I said hello and the next entry I want to see a photo of you trying those grubs!
Phenomenal Heather! Looks like you're having an amazing time - I'm jealous! (but happy for you.. ;) Good to see that Brian is still acting/looking like a dweeb! hahaha..
Poor Guinea Pigs I think that is hilarious that you took a picture of the Guinea Pigs pre-cuy.
Also, I am sorry, I should have warned you about the toilet paper but I didnt know if Peru would be like that too. It is negative fun to not be able to flush. :-)
Hehe, you two are Skype nerds too! Rock on. :) I'm looking forward to reading more about your trip, although it's making me miss Peru an awful lot. We'll just have to take a little trip over there sometime soon.
I'm a graduate student in International Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. For the next 10 months I will be in Cusco, Lima, and mostly Tumbes, Peru, working on a project studying malnutrition in children (and taking some adventures on the side!).... full info
