Thanks I have to admit, I got pretty lucky with the timing of this pic to have a misty day and the place to myself. Perhaps with a committed spirit we make our own luck to a degree though?
travel destinations Hmm, you've listed a lot of good places to see, but I'm certainly open to seeing other exotic areas. Spain is full of a lot of great places, and the next time I come through Europe I just may have to see if I can stop by Alhambra! Thanks for the good suggestion.
Lebanon is fantastic! Glad to see you saw other sites, I saw everything possible in 10 days and it was a dream. Again great pics. Tyre (Sur), by the sea especially, and Baalbek both are some of my favorite ancient sites in the world most especially due to the fact no one else was ever around? A far cry from say Pompeii, Acropolis or Giza. There's nothing more magical or mystical than having an ancient ruin site to oneself!
Any plans to visit the Pacific? I'm from Tahiti, currently living in Spain. Plenty to see here too I especially recommend the Alhambra; a definite must see!!!
I agree! Baalbek was definatly a great time! While getting there may have been an adventure, walking through the site, espicially when I had it pretty much to myself, made for a great day. As far as I know, this is the world's most preserved Roman site. Thanks for the kind words about the pics, my timing was quite lucky, but I suppose with determination you can make your own luck to a degree. Best wishes to your future travels!
Beautiful Baalbek I went there last year and was in awe of the place! Having visited all the great Roman and Greek sites in situ, Baalbek lived up to all my expectations! By far this is the most fabulous Roman site of the Ancient World! I love your photos with the fog - fabulous! You must've really felt the powers of Jupiter, Baal and or Mercury/Baachus! It's a shame the government hasn't spent much money on marketing for Baalbek but you do know why? I love your photos, so mystical!
Alright Hmm, I always found learning new information about different places the most interesting part of traveling. However, people like choices, and that's why restaraunts have menus. I hope you find blogs you like.
Singapore is a much nicer country to live than Dubai. Singapore is a piece of heaven, like an oasis :D Singapore is a food haven and you can find almost any type of cuisine. Local food is a must-try (although it may not suite your palate). Shopping is pretty much like in Dubai although there is more variety. There are no restrictions and you can go out late without FEELING UNSAFE. The transportation is good. I don't save much in SG but like it here a lot. Oh by the way, I really miss your Asian Noodles(wink)
Sounds good Alright Maria, next time I go through the philippines I'll make sure to stop by Bohol. I have heard good things about the area, and I'm sure anywhere in the Philippines it will be a good time. I think I may come through Singapore first though, so feel free to share any other advice.
(: Boracay is indeed beautiful! You might want to consider visiting Bohol the next time you go to my country Mr. Bryant. Bohol is a little island paradise in the southern Philippines and a trip there will be incomplete if you won't at least catch a glimpse of the Chocolate Hills.

10 star? Hmm, well I know that this hotel gave itself the title of 7 star. As for the 10 star, this is news to me. I'm guessing they've named themselves this quality?
Thanks I appreciate the kind words and I hope all works out for your friend. I suppose there's a downside to everything, even adventure. Perhaps we have to accept the downside and be careful to make the most of the experiance? Best wishes to you and your adventures.

Indeed It was sad to be in a clear sky beautiful mountian town, and then be overwhelmed by human trash. This is great evidence for changing from a disposable economy.
Hello and welcome. My name is Nathan Bryant and I was born and raised in Denver Colorado, USA. While Denver is perhaps one of the most beautiful places in the world, it's hard to be certain unless you see everything else. Thus, the quest begins to find a place on this planet in which its beauty has no comparison. To fund this quest, which has started back in August of 2007, I will highlight as an international teacher of history, political science, geography and philosophy. This job will not only put me overseas and pay me a salary, but also give me around 3 months off a year to travel. ... full info
