Same same but different I think every single tourist who goes to Copan comes away with a pictures of these two lovely birds that sit at the entrance :-) Very cool, and brings back a lot of memories!
Yurts to rent in China I am helping my daughter who lives in China locate a yurt to rent for an event in Beijing and I am wondering if you could help as she is fining it difficult to find somebody who can supply a yurt in Beijing. Would be grateful for your help. If you want to contact her on her email it is

What a wonderful blog! How long were you teaching for? I have never been to China bu I know the frustrations and rewards from teaching kids. 'Ugly' seems the most popular adjective for foreign students. I remember being informed by a 6 year old boy in Mexico that I was very stupid and ugly which prompted the girls, scared of being told off, to come up with an impressive list of more complimentary adjectives, in fact even more than I remembered teaching them!
It looks like a nice school and your little ones are so cute! Thanks for sharing.
The Ultimate Tourist My name is Jennie and i would just like to inform you that there now is a webpage called http://theultimatetourist.com, where tourists around the world finally can get some use out of all the photos they have, posing by different tourist attractions.
Here you can choose from over one hundred attractions and typical touristic activities, upload your photos and collect one tourist point for each photo. Reach different levels and everybody over 80 points will become Ultimate Tourists (Remember you have to be in the photos yourself, to prove you were actually there.. :).
So if you want to compete with your photos, or just spread the word, go into theultimatetourist.com
Swedes are dominating the top 20-list for the moment. Challenge them!
taking pictures Hey Sum,
I have a regular digital camera, a sony I believe, and it gave me no problems... any brand will do I reckon.
Shouldn't be an issue, these things are designed for varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Enjoy Haerbin, and don't forget to bring your thermals!!
Camera Hi, I am going to Haerbin this coming January. Just wondering what camera did you use as your photos turned out to be so clear and nice. I have a Sony compact camera and I don't think it will function in sub-zero weather.
Walang anuman Hi thank you for visiting my country.. you've seen the good and the bad side of the Philippines but I'm glad to know you had a great time.. Looking forward to your next visit :)
After having been back in Inner Mongolia for 2.5 years as an English teacher and a great two month trip in South East Asia late 2014, I am now back in Holland for two months. Early March I will be coming back to China, Nanning in Guangxi this time, to finally start my one year study of the Chines language at Guangxi University.
Don't hesitate to contact me! (or recommend my blog ;))
