looking for help with trip to Sri Lanka I have been reading your sri lanka travel blog and thoroughly enjoying it! My husband and I are planning a 2 month trip to India and Sri Lanka In Jan. 2011. I was wondering if you have any accommodation recommendations for either Sri Lanka or India. Are there cities or places you think are a must see. We are fairly well traveled and can adapt to all types of accommodation. Sri Lanka reminds me of Myanmar, one of my favorite places, which is also a Buddhist country. We were planning a week in Sri Lanka but after reading your blog maybe 2 weeks would be better.
P.S. I hope your string has finally come off and your wishes have come true!
Thank you

Daniel sitting near Monkey I love the pic of Daniel with the monkey close by.
It has been great reading your blog, an education for all. Love Mum and John.
Scuba Diving Looks fabulous, Helen. You are very brave, I knew those swmming lessons when you were aged 4 would stand you in good stead one day. Nice too see you and Daniel enjoying your travels. Good photographs, mum x x x

Pool i think the pool would have met your high standards. Even you would have taken 5 seconds to get in!! I'll try and put more pics of me on from Dan's camera
great pics. what a holiday! Next year Butlins....Lets see some pics of you Helen. You need some of you to prove to yourself you really went to Sri lanka, to look at when you are in sunny Manchester.
Fabulous photographs Very good blogging Helen. and very brave of you to go snorkling. We have looked at all your pics, all wonderful and showing real scenes of the country, not just touristy things. I guess that you are exhausted after your sight seeing trips in such humid conditions. Got a text from David saying hi from Corsica. Sleep well, under the mosquito nets. Mum and John
remembering us 15 yrs ago... climbing the Sigiriya also...hot and had very nice company..a group of japanese monks (about 20) all dressed in orange did the same... and they were really making a lot of jokes on the way up.... must have been a good religion.. having so much fun. lol
Finally! At last! I was beginning to think you'd been made into a Thai curry or something. It all sounds rather fabulous, I'm rather jealous. But not of a 16 hour journey!! Sounds like getting the national express coach to London. Looking forward to the next update, hopefully a bit sooner than a week!! ;) x
