Teaching Wilhelm You spent 4 years teaching Wilhelm Freshman circuits, I guess teaching these kids should be a piece of cake. Are the kids going to call you Mr. Larreff.
Pogue
huh title? No worries, no need for drypants or drytop rowing a Grand Canyon raft in July. Bring the portable A/C unit though. Did you say you can row a raft in a lake? It is mostly lake, then again some of it looks more like a dam break!
perspective Mike, um, like 'wow'. You've done more things, traveled more places than 99.99% of people in their lifetime -that much is clearly obvious. But the lessons you've learned and shared are really the most valuable part of your travels (to me at least). As they say, travel removes prejudice. Thanks for the great adventure via blog. I've lived vicariously, if not jealously, through your travels whilst I sit in cozy and (mostly) dysentery-free USA. I will toast you with a PBJ. Perspective, man, perspective.
YOUR BRAVE hi im 12 and im learning about mt pinatubo's eruption, i think ur really brave going and swimming in mt pinatubo knowing it could suddenly erupt at any moment!
Beautiful... Beautiful post, Mike. Some very good summaries and some good truths. Hope life back in the US is treating you well. Looking forward to seeing you in Seattle eventually!
malaria vs montezuma Who'd win in that battle?? I guess you can die from malaria, so that answers that. Are you resuming your journey in Africa? Any particular path you're taking? Halloween party this weekend here - I'm thinking of being an Oompaloompa. I'll wear the costume with pride in honor of ya. Safe travels.
First class with a stop in London? Sounds like a nice trip home! How long will you be in the States? I spent two months traveling stateside and I'm at two months in Seattle. It still feels a little odd to be back, but fun to have dinner parties and clean clothes running water. :) Welcome back!
GUIDE CONTACT Hi! :) By any chance, do you still have the contact number of that guide? I've been wanting to climb that volcano, but I haven't found a guide. Thanks!
Hope to see you in Atlanta Mike, Paul will be home from Australia and Tazmania on the 24th. I would love to spend time with you (we both would) and talk to you about your tomorrows. Be safe and healthy...see you soon. You always have a place to stay. Love, Georgia
Amen to that! Ah the joys of Nkhata Bay - so glad to hear life is still the same there as always. Such a great read to relive the wonderful time we had there!
I've decided that I've had enough of the working world. So.... I've quit my job to travel for awhile. Until the money runs out or I get tired. We'll see what happens...
