6 Months in China

a trip by Chris Stasse
From: October 1st 2011
Until: May 10th 2012

90 days--that's the only rule.

90 days to make it from Beijing to the border before my three month visa needs to be renewed. That means I'll spend Christmas in Hong Kong (the caroling and holiday decorations in this once-British city are bound to be exciting), then reenter mainland China for a second round of exploration. Ultimately I will have 6-7 months under the Red Flag--the long distance and greatest time period I've ever been away from home.

What adventures await!

The ensuing months will see me observing and absorbing, hosteling and playing badminton, teaching English and practicing Mandarin.

And, of course, I'll be writing.

So to all of my friends and loved ones potentially reading this blog: know that I am happy to share my thoughts and ideas throughout my stay, and will try and commit to at least weekly postings.
