ok so i havent update in agessss and now i really cant remember everything that has happened in the past 2 weeks or so! but here are some highlights: we have gone with the aussie boys twice now to watch them surf! its sooo so cool and hard looking! once of the days we decided to go to the waters edge to feel how cold it was and it was so not cold and the waves were so big and it was so tempting that we ended up just going in with our clothes on! but it was so amazing swimming in the waves - they were sooo big! both times they went surfing, we went about an hours drive south of brisbane to a city called surfers paradise. its such a cool city - right ... read more

heeey! i really need to update this more because so much has been happening that i just cannot remember! on our last day in downtown sydney we went over to darling harbour and the sydney aquarium where we saw sharks and other aussie goodies! now we are in byron bay which is further up north from sydney. before here were were in collaroy beach which is one of the northern beaches of sydney. it was really pretty there and less of a city atmosphere which is nice! we were there for 2 nights and on the way there we were on the city bus and caused quite a huge scene with our massive backpacks and how we obviously had no clue where we were going! but we met a super nice aussie on the bus and ... read more

so right now im in our hollywood hotel waiting to leave for the airport! i thought id quickly right down all the important things that happened in LA before they get clouded out by australian excitement! so yesterday we left ottawa and it was very sad :( jess got both her bags searched at the airport and it was quite entertaining! our plane from ottawa to chicago was teeny tiny and we even had to move to the back "to help balance the airplane". oh and the bathroom door was broken and a bunch of asians kept getting locked in so every so often we would hear banging from behind us and know another person got locked in. and on to of that, the flight attendant needed to translate through their friends in order to tell ... read more
