Beautiful! Hi, it's Michi here from Tokyo.
I'm reading your blogs and every time I'm deeply impressed! You're really having a special experience that not many people (especially like me) can have. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures and blog. I feel like I'm sailing down the river, too!
I enjoy hanging around with your mom. Last night was Grace Bible Study at my church and we had a great time with the members.
Do take care of yourselves, watch out for alligators and continue your adventure!
Love in Jesus, Michi
Laughing Hey Emy, you really make me chuckle from some of the comments you make. Hope you feel much better from your incident. Keep the blogs coming. Tell Luckus I said hi! Don't forget to save all these blogs for your published book.
Have a great trip
Doug
Your boat trip versus our camping Hello Emmy and Lukus, Thank you for your posts. Well written and very informative. Over the years I have camped along many of the areas you have visited such as Land Between The Lakes and Pickwick on my way south in my van camper. Interesting to parallel your travels by boat to mine by land. My boat still in water riding out gales and temps into the upper 20's so enjoy!
Following Along When your blog arrives it is always the first thing that gets opened and read, then read again. The second thing that happens is that Google Earth gets opened and I follow along with your commentary as the descriptions you give unfold on my computer screen. While it is not as exciting as being there I look forward to hearing about your trip and enjoy your blog very much. Keep them coming I am looking forward to the sunshine you will bring through the winter. Tara was here last week to blow out our irrigation system while doing pushups on the front lawn. The neighbours have commented.
Thanks for the laugh Got a good chuckle hearing about Tara. Can totally picture it. We are so happy and flattered to hear you enjoy the blogs, maybe you will just have to set out on an adventure of your own and find some sunshine :) We will continue to keep you all posted!!
Am so sorry to here about losing Ebony. It is always difficult to lose a family pet member.Hope you received my email. Thanks for all your sharing in your blog. Are you sure you're actually there? Maybe a picture of you!!!! God bless you with safety. Hugs!!!
Pictures Emmy. Enjoy reading about your travels as we are trying to do the same in 2 years, do you have pictures of the inside of your boat. We are looking to sell our sail boat and buy a trawler/tug and I like to look at what others have done.
Thanks Dave
Pictures Hi Dave, i will get some pictures to you very soon. You have the 32 foot Ontario if i am correct? Lukus would like to see pictures of your boat too. We have considered a sailboat if we decide.to circumnavigate...a thought we have had. I will.probably email you the photos as it may be easier for you to recieve them directly. Thanks for following our blog!!
Of course! You are welcome anytime :) Might want to find your own boat to tag along though, ours gets a little small when start adding more people! We had 6 of us on the boat for a game of monopoly the other day, and it certainly was a tight fit!! Glad you are enjoying our blogs!
Brilliant! Every time I read your blog posts, I think "what a brilliant way to experience America!" Thanks for posting Emy and keep enjoying the journey :)
Your Trip Having a great time following your trip via the Blogs, sounds like you are having a great time and meeting some wonderful people. I gave your Blog address to my brother and his wife, they are going to send you their Email so they can follow you also, they have a sailboat and have the same dream.
Hi guys!!!! Emy I love reading your blogs! I miss you both but am with you in spirit. I have to admit that I was finding this site hard to follow so I decided to join. Wowzers what a difference and now I can get caught up and have some bedtime reading ☺

Miss you Glad you figured out a way to use the site better. Ive looked into other sites to see if there are any that are more user friendly, seems most people have similar complaints with all sites.
I think this meeting up with us idea is a fantastic one!! Your spirit may be with us, but i would.like to see the flesh and blood :) miss you hun
Great blog Hi guys,
We met in Peoria Illinois looking for a ride on your boat. We talked and found out about your year long treck. Great job on blogging the trip . Can't wait to read more later. What an experience you are going through. Stay safe and enjoy.

Thanks Doug We are so glad to have met you. You meet so many wonderful people as you travel like this. So glad you are.enjoying the blog, it is nice to receive comments!
Response? I received an e-mail from Travel Blog saying I have a response from you? I followed the link they sent and it just dumps me into a travel blog site and as mentioned this is a very user unfriendly site and I have no idea how to access your response. Have fun, I will keep following your adventures.
Mississippi connection Hey Emy and Lukus, Thanks for your reports, very informative and entertaining. Emy, you are a good writer. The Great Lakes wind machine has ramped up. I spent three nights on Washington Island riding out some gale force winds, back in Gills Rock now but supposed to blow NE to 30 for the next two to three days. Enjoy your ride! Not sure if you get these comments or not? This site is not very user friendly to a computer challenged person like me.
River cruising is a lot less volatile than great lakes We are gettinf your comments captain, perhaps you dont get notification about our responses? I am considering changing sites as we have had a few poeple have problems. We will krep you posted. I guess it is the season where the lakes are becoming restless and tempermental, but makes for some good stories i am sure!! Thank you for reading along and commenting!
M-I-SS-I-PP-I Where is the second ISS? You and Lukus seem to be having the time of your life - congratulations on that! We are on holidays as well. Today we visited the Martyers shrine & St. Marie's of the Hurons - interesting but not like yours..
Enjoy
Tom
Good call!! Ooops!! Guess in my excitement i missed a few letters..lol glad to hear you are taking time to enjoy life too, any adventure is still an adventure!!
River blog Hi Emy, Your blogs (reports) are great. I look forward to reading them, keep them coming. I send these on to Gretchen who lives a couple of hours south of here and comes up to crew once a week which is when you met her on Washington Island. That wind generated waves from calm to 6' in 15 minutes according to one of the Ferry Captains I know. They call that a dramatic wind shift!
Thanks Captain Jim It was lovely to meet you, we really enjoyed our short visit with you and Gretchen, and seeing your boat. Lake Michigan is quite volatile, but we survived it in tact. Hope the rest of your season goes well!!
Thanks Mike Hope you are keeping well and that your own.plans for a trip in the near future are working out. Thabk you for the compliment, I am so grateful people are enjoying it!!
