Andorra I travelled in with Oak Hall, flew into France, 3 hour coach transfer, then in the little village shown in my blog. Great time to go (date as per blog), beautiful weather, beautiful walking!
Nice photos Your photos are great. I remember when I first came to Prague. I stayed in the Castle Steps hotel and had an amazing trip. Hope you return some day.
Sounds fantastic! I'm also a Christian and would be interested in working for Oak Hall, but couldn't see any links to vacancies. Any idea on how I'd go about working as a tour leader?
Rodents giant size Bex, the "campivaras" you depicted are actually "Capivaras" and in English they are known as Capybaras. They are large rodents (yes, rats!) and are quite plentiful in Brazil - here in Rio, we sometimes have to save them from surfing the waves, when they misguidedly venture out to the city beaches. Near where I live, there is quite a large family of these very shy, delightful animals living in a very polluted river along with numerous caymans, apparently quite peacefully!
Fruit? Bex, the first picture titled "Fruit" is not really fruit - what you see is a large variety of vegetables: aubergine, onions, squash, acelga(in English?), runner beans, sweet potato, etc.!!!Ok, I know that tomatoes are fruit, but most in the picture qualify as vegetable... Have fun!! Expecting you here in Brazil soon.
These plants... grow everywhere! Including in my garden!!!! These are bromelias - Rottweilers love to eat them, so I discovered, after spending a small fortune on decorating a small rockery I have. My mum calls it ´chiara´food!!! (Chiara being the name of my Rottweiler)
Building with title "Britanico" hehe, i just want to mention that the building that has the name "Britanico" in one of your photos , is a teaching center, they teach British English, and now you know =)

my sister lives in Phnom Penh and we visited in February. Found it quite a harrowing place to visit but there is amazing work going on by so many NGO's and some very small charities. Apparently there are 20,000 street children here - of a populaiton of 200,000, found this quite shocking. Strongly recommend you return one day if you are able as a fascinating to place to spend time in!
Awesom Thanks Bex for the journal update! Photos are grand. Good to see what you are up to. Am printing off to show other people when they ask me how you are doing! Safe travels and thinking of you xx xx
Thank goods for bex-a-cis-ation Thanks Bex for being such a wonderful communicator and letting us all know what you are up too. The RTW trip looks GREAT!!!! Wishing you lots of FUN! Karen xx
springing into action Lovely pics Bex. Thanks for showing us a touch of spring [or is it summer - it is so beautifully warm!]. Especially like the Daffs and the Hawthorn, if that is what it is.
In December 2006 I left my job as 'Interdisciplinary Research Officer' at the University of Manchester. Before setting out on my RTW trip, I carried out a vast amount odf de-cluttering and de-junking, completed (reading) a number of careers books, produced web sites and a chapter for a high-profile book for London Transport Museum, plus generated some ideas for further articles. I completed my TEFL training in expectation that I would go to Vietnam for 6 months, but after 4 month... full info
