dude.... I am so jealous of you. You have to have gone to India to really understand what goes on there...right? It's bananas. Keep updating the blog, please.....
Sol, you're amazing! I've been reading your blog, Sol and have been so impressed with your adventurous spirit! I doubt I'll ever get to Thailand, so feel I've been there thru you. What an amazing trip. I'm very, very jealous and happy for you that you had such a wonderful experience. Thank you so much for sharing it with us stuck back in Rochester!
Lovely Hi Sol, Glad to see another post from you. I can't get over how beautiful your pictures are. I wish you continued safe and fascinating travels throughout the rest of your journey.
B'shalom, Melissa
less yackin and more crackin It's good to know that Uncle Eddie can make a living in Thailand mens rooms if things don't work out in Cali. Maybe Susan can sell deep fried bugs. Where are you now?
local update Aunt Roberta, Dad and I did a marathon 13 hour drive to Amish Country and back yesterday to meet face to face with Shaftels they never knew before. Tell you about it when you get back. I look forward to your wonderful journals. Keep exploring every opportunity! O's and X's
Awesome I can't believe how much you've done in such a short time. Great pictures! The motorbike looks like fun. Enjoy the next part of your adventure!
Fun Fun! Love the first shot there... awesome work. So glad to hear about your diving and how wonderful it went. It was nice to chat the other day online! I wonder if Kris knows Murph? Funny... the S. Ireland accent, W. Ireland accent and Belfast ones were TOTALLY different when I was there. Interesting... All is good here. Feeling better awaiting the arrivival of Andrew (Aussi) for a fun festive weekend! Miss ya :)
I'm jealous Wow - sounds like a blast so far! The pics are awesome. My friend Fon, who's from Thailand, suggests eating:
"- Som Tum (Papaya Salad) with sticky rice and grilled chicken together!! da best!
- MK Suki = name of a restaurant .. (it's a franchise restaurant with very good food)
- Pad Thai
- Tum Yum (Spicy Soup)
- Grilled pork on stick with sticky rice YUM!!
- Fruit: Mangosteen, Linchee, Lum Yai .. eat the tropical fruit as much as he can!"
Now I'm hungry...
Dude, sounds like you're making a hell of a trip out of it. Now that you've eaten the real deal over there, would you say any of the Thai places in Rochy are even remotely authentic?
Wow! Glad you're having a good time. Sounds like it is really really beautiful. Things are finally cooling down here 70s and 80s and we're begining to enjoy being outside. Leo has a cold though so he sends a snot rocket your way! XO, your sis
I've been tracking your trip from the beginning and it sounds like you are having a blast. My brother was in Thailand during the tsunami last December (very scary) and I think it's great that you (and other tourists) are there supporting their economy and helping them to rebuild all that was lost. Keep writing those great journal entries and taking great pictures!
Good stuff Hi Sol- I read your past two days blogs about diving and the atmostphere at Phi Phi. Based on your pictures and vivid descriptions I can see why it reminds you of Dahab. It's so nice that you are giving yourself extra time to explore your environment before moving on to the next place. Keep posting- your entries are so descript and interesting and I am really enjoying learning about this part of the world through your eyes. - Melissa
Very cool so, I've read about every blog. Sounds like a great time, makes me want to do the same thing. Traveling leisurely sounds like a dream. Enjoy man,

Man, this looks awesome. You're really making me want to jump on a plane and fly over there to dive with you (and eat a lot too). Have fun over there. I'll be sitting at the bench pipetting!
Buby's comment You look very good and so handsome in the pictures - wonderful! I want to hear from you when the scuba lessons are over that it was successful. Glad you're having a good time. I'm still in Rochester and missing you all this time. I love you very much Solomon. I can't wait to see you home again. I am very proud of you getting all over the world to places I never could so I see them through you. Your Buby
I'm back ... I made several mistakes getting ready to leave Rochester ... 1st, I left my carry-on bag unattended in your parent's family room, just long enough for your Mom and Bub to fill it with bags of nuts and mystery packs from the freezer. 2nd, your Dad weighed my check-on bag, already full with new clothes from your Mom, and found it to be 45 lbs. Both Bub and your Mom scrambled to find 5 lbs. of stuff to add to the bag. G-d forbid I leave without the max. 50 lbs.!! Your Dad made lots of great pictures for me to bring back. I'm glad I got to see you for a few days before you left. Be careful under water ... there never was a Jew named "Cousteau". So, 1 yenta turns to the other during the Rabbi's sermon and says "I've been sitting so long my touchas fell asleep", the other says "I know, I heard it snore 3 times". ps, just a joke about donations, Love, Unc
Just Beautiful So lovely. Sounds like you continue to make adjustments to maximize your adventure. You are a student of many things and you're putting it to good use there. Such a lovely sunset.
Happy you are there... Sol, good work... know it's tricky being out there with everything that happens, but you are doing well... stay strong, enjoy that world under water and have fun! :) Jess
Hey dude, I'm totally jealous. Wishing that I could not be a med student for a few weeks. I've come down with a bad case of senioritis, but luckily, things have really lightened up. Enjoy your travels, be safe, and bring me back something cool.
