toxic fish multiple muggings, vertiginous precipices, venomous coral snakes, hurled rocks, valueless life and toxic fish... what other delights for the nail-biting parent to peruse on your blog?
Blowfish Mh, if it is indeed a blowfish, I guess the tide theory of their death doesn't really stand up anymore really, does it? Probably most likely they got fished, died and then got chucked out into the sea for them to be washed out to the shore.
Thanks for that Aidan.
My brother has a Brazilian friend who says that if you live in Brazil you're much better off being a monkey than a person because monkeys have more rights and the government actually protects their lives...
You look like what I imagine Robinson Crusoe looks like.

fish yo dave.
the fish in the photos is a blowfish- one of the most poisonous animals in the world, and the most toxic of fish. If you wanna look it up, it's part of the tetraodontidae family.
Oh, and the captions of your photos never fail to amuse. I'm never quite sure when you're being serious and when you're being subtly sarcastic... :P. xxx
Those beaches are stunning! I would give anything to be somewhere like that now...
I'm so glad you're still enjoying yourself and are still curious and motivated to keep traveling and learning. I hope these weeks you have left are awesome!
Take care,
xxx
Post sponsorisé par l'oréal for men. Impressive tan by the way. And beard.
hahaha i agree! but wow you managed to name ONE flower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can see some progress..
don't know why i'm saying that but the 'slug thing' looks like something pumba would eat in the lion king
hello Just to tell you that I think that if you stay a little longer in one place in a new country, you will come to know that country a little better than if you went around `´just seeing more´´.After all understanding Brasil will help you enormously in the way you will look at it.E o seu portugues tambem vai melhorar!Enjoy
describing flaura and fauna while I like reading your more intricate articles on brazilian history and climate change, I get a real kick from your description of the brazilian flaura and fauna!
Pior ainda I am not being rude to write in portuguese,I am only rendering homage to our truly brilliant blogger, and try to give an incentive for others to learn languages(specially to those with computers)Mas e se tudo fosse apenas o começo da quinta glaciaçao?vou ter de começar a por acentos
Lol Came across a bottle of Açai juice in town today after reading your comment. Its a bit strange isn't it. Bit like a mix between Bluberries and Blackberries but without the sugar or sour.
But apparently Gok Wan says they should be part of every ones diet.....so your on the right track LOL
Açaï, delicious??? that is a topic for serious discussions, my friend. personnaly I would put it in the "mud-looking and sluggish mud-tasting" category (but don't worry, it's getting very hip here, you'll find tons of it when you come back. Have you tasted acerola yet? Parabens on the time spent already, and on the blog!
Any plans of moving soon? if you want to stick to lençois, try the maranhenses ones, pretty impressive (though slightly less green) as well! and São Luis do Maranhão is the best city ever. (then again I guess you could say that of about half the cities in nordeste alone...)
bisous
I'm trop jalouse too!!
What kind of stuff are you translating? Are you doing it from Portuguese? If you are, then I must say I am very very impressed :)! xxx

Those photos look... otherworldly. It must have been a magic experience to walk there!
