gosh Charlie, its starting to sound a bit hairy!. beware the typhoon season specially near rivers and the like. it starts about now, in fact its already hit China. Gail has won another literary award, the rate you're going you'll be writing travel docos. heaps of love from us both.
shit hot Hey chaz, how are ya mate. Im so glad to see that you are getting around SE asia. It looks so good over there, I think my next trip will have something to do with that area. Are you heading over to India? if so dont do a treck anytime after september, no matter how "warm" the tourguides tell you it will be. Im back at uni looking for a job, a house, and a bit of sanity, not exactly in that order! But so far havent come close to any. Have a great trip....stupid thing to say!
Peace man
Jesse
How is Lao Now? Hi Chaz,
I don't know if the last comments went on so I'll say hiya now.
The weather is still very wintry and wet. School goes on and on. I'm sure holidays are somewhere out there. Jasper is sitting beside me drinking his milk and I've just been informed the fire's gone out ( again!)
There are great caves in Lao if you get there.
Are you keepingt to your budget? Wwoofing yet . I realise you're pre probably out of range on the technology stakes.
Jasper's hitting me on the head with keys at the moment so I think I'd better go
Lots of love Dad B and Jasper
SO jealous! I am getting all nostalgic reading of your adventures in Laos, I wish I could go back! Instead I'm waiting for it to be airport time - thats right, I'm going home. Have a blast, down some Supertiger whiskey for me (Smooth and Mellon!), and you rock out on your ukelele (remember hangman?)!
Don't forget your Phi Phi roots!
Nic

Great photos Charlie. Like the Tshirt snap. Good luck in Laos. Sounds like you'll be on the move a bit. Pop Art and I are well. Thinking of you every day. keep taking care. Nornie
Glad to get your latest message, Charlie. Your pics are great. When I travelled back home a couple of weeks ago, i met a couple between Kuala lumpur and perth who had been travelling through Asia for some time. They said they liked Laos best. It sounds like an interesting place. I look forward to your journal and pass on your news to Gail in the US. Try to keep in touch with either your dad or me whenever you can and let us know when we can reach you on your mobile. I tried to call a couple of times without success. Stay well and take care. We love you and miss you...Nornie and Pop Art
Lao has definitely got communication technology Hi Chaz,
Good to hear from you once more. You should try using the info pages on travelblog. there are numerous entries from Laos and the people travelling there, using travelblog just like you. So there is no excuse for not keeping us iinformed of your adventures. More photos are better, but please put your shirt ON when you are out in the sun and when you are in photos. (Pasty, white chests get sunburnt easily).
Good to hear you're enjoying lots of different experinces. We spent 2 days digging up bamboo from a house in Manji for the school garden (and some for us). It is already about 6m tall and looks great. Physically exhausting though. Getting in shape for when we go woofing and I have to do manual work again.
Will you still have the same mobile phone? (yes, you do get coverage in some places in Lao - we checked!)
Love Dad, B, Jasper
Having a blast Hey Chaz, looks like your having a blast and enjoying life to its fullest. Keep it up!!! I'm liking all the details and the motorbike commentary especially. Beware English chics are addicting...but have fun
i read your journal every day, Charlie, but I must have missed a couple of things. What happened to the wise ukelele? or is it too painful to say? Just remember what your grandmother said about riding motor bikes and take care! you did get travel insurance, didn't you. Don't let my comments put you off giving us all the gory details of your trip though. We want a warts and all account. Are you able to keep up to date with world news through the internet. if not, let me know and I'll keep you posted on world events. - Remember? the world outside the tropical paradise. heaps of love
Good to hear from you and see the piccies. It's rrraaaaiiiiinnning again, it is cold and miserable and school suxxxx. Not at all jealous of you. Had enough of school after only 2 days back. Jasper keeping us up for 2 hours in the night may be infuencing our perceptions somewhat......actually nah - not at all. We need to get out of here.
Thanks for the photos, they are just what we needed. They are an inspiration and a motivator. Jasper is looking at the photo's rught now and saying Charlie, Charlie over and over and over in a growly voice. More photos would be great, or more words if you feel so inclined and can drag yourself away from your special Welsh friend.
Lots of love
B, Dad and Jasper
Hi Charlie, glad to hear from you again. Yes. I was a bit concerned when there was no news from you for about a week.Sounds like you're having a whale of a time and meeting lots a people. Pop Art and I will have a few days in albany on the weekend. Gail is now in the USof A. Love always
Your stories are the highlight of my day Charlie, I'm so bloody proud of you, and so ridiculously happy for you (ok, and just a tad envious!). I'm so glad for the invent of modern technology just so you can keep in touch with all exciting and interesting people you must be meeting on your journey. Keep sharing the love.
Ellie
