The big day has finally arrived. We got going this morning right after Kate got her final dose of rabies vaccine (she accidentally stepped on a bat!). We traveled about 335 miles to Elkhart, IN, which bills itself as the RV capital and is in fact the home of several RV manufacturers. We got here in time to tour the RV Museum and Hall of Fame, and they invited us to spend the night in their parking lot. So we will. We basically took I-90 to where it merged with I-80 near Cleveland and we will be driving on I-80 for the next four days! I don't usually like to travel the interstates so much but we wanted to put the miles behind us on the way out west.
