Adam's Blog: We hit the ground running on Monday with our best weather to date and drove over Vancouver's Lions Gate Bridge to visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Treetops adventure area. The drop from the bridge is 70m and it can hold 2 x 747's, so Kit and Grace jumping up and down on it was not going to bring it down - thankfully. We spotted squirrels around our feet, jumping around erratically - which the kids loved having just watched Alvin & the Chipmunks. We drove further towards Grouse(we were saying it as in mouse, but were corrected to say 'gross') Mtn. Only 20 minutes from the CBD and it rose over 1500m in the sky. We caught the gondola to the top and were greeted by 3m of snow - Wow! They had ... read more

Gracie's Blog We went to the airport and we went on a 12hr trip! On the way my best bit was getting a movie screen, I watched Alvin & the chipmunks, the Squeakueal. After that I got to play my new pink D.S. I played my new game Crosswords.....you have to hold you D.S. sideways to play it. And I loved it. Then we had dinner, it was pasta with orange juice. After I went to bed at 12:08. When I woke up I missed out on breakfast. When we got off the plane we were in LA. After that we had to catch another plane, it was a 4 hour flight, it was very boring! I woke up and it was still day and we were in CANADA. We drove in a taxi to Hyatt ... read more

Adam's Blog We were all sorted and well under our 90kg limit when we checked in for Qantas QF15 to LA on Thursday 7th April. It went pretty smoothly although Kit left his teddy behind in the departure lounge, meanwhile Alison was body frisked by security before boarding the plane and thankfully all was ok! We jumped on board, had good seats and settled in for the 13hr flight.......we watched the Oscar winning movies - Blindside, Crazy Heart, Hurt Locker and Precious. All very good....we tried to get some shut eye - but quite tricky with kids - although they were well behaved. We watched the sun rise over the mountains as we saw USA for the first time and our landing to LA was smooth. Customs was not a problem, very friendly and organised for ... read more

Hi There, We have enjoyed our first week on holidays and a fast pace it has been....we have counted 6 different beds in 9 days. We flew out of Melbourne last Tuesday, drama free to Brisbane and had a couple of days with Barbara & Michael getting our things sorted out. Alison & I popped down to Portside on Thursday night catching up with friends - Mel & Murray, Richard & Lisa, Jeff & Ynja, Jason & Nic, Christen & Mike and Deanne. We enjoyed tapas and drinks at Byblos and plenty of reminiscing over the last 10 years. We arrived at Hyatt Sanctuary Cove under beautiful blue skies...Daph & Harry, Nat, Oscar & Remy and Troy, Sophia & Abbi arrived shortly after. The Lagoon pool was magnificent! Good Friday was spent kicking back eating prawns ... read more
