Ha! Isn't google great... I found you. Sorry your weather's stormy. Here in sunny Scotland we are basking in weak sunlight with a howling gale. Sheila is up for the week and it's great to see her.
A landy... grrrrrrrrrrrr....
great read! Michael Palin's got nothing on you two, however Sandra's entries are a little shorter! Anyway good to see you're well and thinking of you while stuck in the wonder of Canon Palmer. Stay safe and enjoy! x
It looks like someones tent has just been swept away and stuck onto your Land Rover or is it meant to hang precariously on the end? Answers on a postcard to "Oh F**k my tents blown away, 1 South africa"
Wishing you well Brilliant blog!! Goatee is clearly growing rapidly and the bandanna must cover a full afro by now!?? Good to see that its has to be a Land Rover that you are putting your faith (and money) into one of the many benefits of the Empire! Keep it coming and may the force be with you both for The Journey. Andy leaves the bank tomorrow so we will be down the pub in Bristol thinking of you both, tomorrow. Cheers!
Week 2! Wow, you've certainly been fitting in a lot of stuff, Matt keep up the good work on the blog, it's really nice to hear about all the various things you've been up to and seen.
Re the photo's there are a number of things that spring to mind, but I'll keep it brief(!). Matt you look totally different but taking photos to honour Takis Martakis is odd.
Sandra, I am always ready in about 5 minutes as Matt will testify, he always had a ready comment or two about my sartorial elegance, eg, ' is that your grandads shirt/jumper/jeans etc'. It was always highly amusing and never boring, eh Matt?!
Lastly yes I always compliment Louise on her outfit otherwise I'd never get out the house!!
On a more serious note, keep up the blog and photos, it's really interesting to see somewhere else of the world with first hand commentary and also look after the mutt!!! (I'm talking about the Dog not Matt....... ; - )

monkey business Tell Matt that I think his twin got the good looks! So envious. You look like your having a blast. Sent a private email but dont know if I did it properly. Please let me know if you received it. By the way I can now text.
Ola Dear both,
Glad to see you're there save and sound and seem to be settling into 'the life'!! Sounds like you are going to have a great time, so make the most of it.....it certainly beats london.
Also Sandra, you want to have a word with Matt about that bandanna, one word, ridiculous!
Adios
Tom
loving the blog Hi-we are loving the blog and especially the photos. the weather sounds wonderful and sooooooo much better than ours-keep up the training
What can I say but ........ You lucky b******s! It's rained for 4 weeks solid in 'sunny' Durham, spent most of my time willing the sun to come out and to top it off it's back to the pleasure dome in less than 2 weeks - I hate you (lol)
Take care and stay safe!

Why beach, berg and bush?
After resigning from work, and Matt getting a sabbatical we are shortly off to Africa for a year of exciting experiences, mainly spent on the beach, up mountains (berg) and exploring the bush.
After saving for so long for a wedding it seemed ridiculous to spend a huge amount of money on one night so everyone else can get drunk. So we've decided to use it to broaden our horizions, and hopefully put some of it to better use than beer!!! Although is there a better use?
We leave on Aug 12th for Cape Town (Staying at the flat in Simonstown) where we'll be for 5 w... full info
