Travelling South America had been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and so in September 2013 my now husband, Tomas, and I decided to quit our city jobs and take some time out. The past 12 months we have visited Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador including the Galapagos, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia - and our journey isn't over yet. We have slept in a thousand beds, met hundreds of great people, taken many a bumpy buses, sailed thousands of k's along the Amazon River and island hopped our way around the continent.
Tomas, being Argentinean, is revisiting many places he has already seen but he didn't want to stand in the way of my dream!!
This blog is a mental download, offload, upload - whatever you want to call it - of my time here in South America. Perhaps I should have started it from day one of our trip but I didn't so now I am writing entries in a none ordered or logical way. I want to share my thoughts, experiences, offer advice and help at least one person plan and enjoy their adventure through this truly amazing continent.
I am English, 30 years old and this is my blog.
