OMG...so sorry you ran to school and got sick! Ugh! Bet you're really looking forward to Friday's party. Sam didn't go to any parties until toward the end of his stay because Thaddaus wasn't in his class and it took Sam awhile to get to know the kids in his class. You and Babsi being in the same class is making the social aspect easier for you. I'm so glad. Just be careful this weekend if you go to the bars in the city! Hope Skyping your class in Ann Arbor at lunch time works out! Love, Mom
Your second blog sure sounds more positive, Christi! I am so glad your social life is picking up...it will make a big difference. I'm glad you saw rats at the zoo because you won't see any here. I love them, too, but don't want to deal with all those tumor removal surgeries again at several hundred dollars a pop. Sorry! Sharing our lives with five cats will have to suffice. Marble, Tiger, Oscar, Zack and Annie all send you their love! And I do, too, of course! Mom
Christi, it will be a lot fun reading your travel blogs. Your enthusiasm for Vienna is less than it was when you left, but I have a feeling that your last blog will be markedly different than your first and by the time you are on your way home you will wish you could stay longer. This time of transition is difficult, but you are strong and tenacious, and smart enough to realize that it will get easier with each passing week. Even just one day after you wrote your first blog you sounded happier when we talked. You said you thoroughly enjoyed going to the Animal Garden with your class, and the elegant cafe with Babsi and her friend. Going into the city this weekend with friends and then skiing in the Alps all next week should give you a whole new perspective. Surely you'll see that what you're doing is a heck of a lot more fun than being in Michigan taking out the garbage and doing hours and hours of homework! I sure am looking forward to you posting pictures of youself, Vienna, the Alps, Babsi and her family and friends...and Lucky the dog! Turtlepond and I will be here to welcome you home when your big adventure is but a memory. In the meantime, have the time of your life! Lots of love to you always, Mom P.S. I love your blog name!
