Jenny I would think October might be similar to now weather wise although they may be starting to close down for the winter. You can catch a ferry from Piraues near Athens takes about 3 hours or fly for similar price and it only takes 40 mi
nutes. Its reasonably cheap, we are spending about $40 each night for dinner. I'm guessing much cheaper than France but will let you know in a few weeks.
