Grandma
Holiday I'm going to Australia in March and April so have you got any good advice on places to go or see, aside from the famous landmarks?
Loads of my friends have told me to go to Byran Bay so thats a must do for me!!
Thanks
Hi Sounds like fun! Christine Matthias' brother was at church today. He's here for a couple of days from Melbourne (spelling?). I wished him a happy Australia day. Hopefully you will be given a more challenging work assignment this week. Either way, remember your good attitude and great smile:)Did you get the ATM thing figured out? Hope so. Talk to you soon! love you!
Inauguration Day Unfortunately, most of the world seems more interested in what Michelle Obama will wear to the balls than anything else that happens today. Historically it's been like that since Martha Washington. I so enjoy experiencing Austratlia through your eyes. You are young and adventureous and living the experience so I can have the thrills without the risk or expense. I know you will be successful at your job - you are intelligent and your exhuberance makes you a joy to be around. Keep the news rolling. You are quite the American Ambassador. Love you. V.
Whatever Connor's at work with me and I just showed him the pictures you posted. He was worried you were staying in Australia forever. I told him only 2-months.
Beer & Ping Pong Whats uppy Alli-son?
Back in the day, SMSA's fridge was always full of beer. 4:59pm on a Friday and it was Miller Time. Although we didn't have a ping pong table.... We did have an indoor basketball hoop.
Miss ya!
As we speak, our conference room is being converted with the ping pong table taking over the conference table, 2 chair massagers in the corner and a bar next to the tv. Good idea. Keep them coming!
Sounds like you are having a great time.
Culture shock Sounds like you are having an awesome time. I am so glad for you and trying not to be envious. Our weather has been "brutal" as Bill would say - minus 23 degrees. The good news it that the roads are clear and dry. Sounds like the business atmosphere is a lot more casual and "fun" than ours. I could go for the ping pong table, massages, and sleeping couches for after lunch "naps". I really believe the afternoons would be a lot more productive then. Alpha's holiday party is tonight. We will miss you but are looking forward to the fun, fellowship, and food. I doubt that I'll make it to the Open but would like to come and at least touch a Koala bear. Enjoy your experiences, have fun and stay safe. Love you. Vickie
Welcome to Aussie Glad that you made it and survived the long flight. We tracked your flight through flightaware - what a loooooong time! Why do the stores close at 5:00pm? Can't wait until you experience more so that you can share the experiences with us. Stay safe and enjoy each moment. Do you have to go far to see a Koala? Miss you.
