Holiday Practice Glad to hear you are both practicing hard for this coming holiday with a short stay at a hotel. Why you couldn't have just launched off on the tides in the boat is beyond me but there you go! Looking forward to reading Hot Girl and Sweaty mans adventures - have fun!

Great to hear that you made it through your adventure. We have enjoyed following the remainder of your journey via your blog. We have had our own fun in Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Germany (where we are now) and are on the unfortunate countdown to home (less then 3 weeks). We especially appreciated your reflections of the trip as we feel the same way about looking back at ours (sat nav definately is a god send). Everything is wonderful I particularly enjoyed Crete because of all the things you could see there! I boarded a ship from peiraus (ANEK Crete II) which is by far the largest ship i have ever been to
Sobering We, as you know, visited Dachau. The magnificent sunny day that accompanied our tour didn't seem to suit the atrocities that had taken place there. It would have been more appropriate to have had a cold misty day.
Still cheered ourselves up with another bottle of that Slovak 12% beer that we were drinking in Budapest. Keep on truckin' guys!

Back home! :o( Back home in good old grey, damp England! Booo! It was sooo great to see you both - thanks again for managing to make the detour, it was a lovely start to our holiday! Hope you've survived the heat in Athens - it got much hotter in Parga for the last few days, made those hills much harder to climb! Made diving into that beautiful cool sea even nicer tho - and fortunately no more encounters with stingrays and rampant prawns!! ;o) hee hee! I've posted loadsa pics on facebook if you get a chance to have a look xxx

Loving the blog - looks like you're having such an amazing time! La was in Florence on the 6th June too - doing a photo shoot for Contiki holidays! - she went to Pisa, Florence and Rome - so weird seeing yours and her photos taken on the same day in the same places!
